Campbell's Jerk — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

I ordered the jerk catfish meal with sides of mac and cabbage and did not enjoy my meal at all. Both the mac and cabbage were bland and the fish wasn't actually seasoned with jerk seasoning just grilled to death as it was SUPER dry. It had no sauce at all. I even overheard the cashier say it to the woman who brought my food out from the back but wasn't sure what she was talking about and thought nothing of it. I intended to buy extra sauce anyway and when I tried to buy some before leaving she gave it to me on the house. When I got home I realized she was indeed talking about my food and the sauce she gave me wasn't a kind gesture but her just giving me the sauce that should've been on my overcooked and jerk-less jerk catfish in the first place. Sauce that I must add I also did not enjoy. They were much better when they had the dine in restaurant that was located further east. The food was great and so was the service. I'm guessing they downsized as business slowed after the original owner passed away which may have lead to mismanagement and thus here we are. Everyone recommends the chicken which is probably their specialty so maybe I'll give that shot but I probably won't try anything else. This is by far the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. We called at 9:45 to let them know we have a party of 6 coming in at 10:00pm. We got there for them to not want to service us. To remind you they close at 11pm. After finally being seated the waitress walked to the table and said hoe many cups y'all need. Huh! If it's 6ppl at the table we need 6 cups. She left came back with the cops and said what y'all want to order. Remind u she never gave us any menus nor have we ever been to this restaurant before. So we asked her can we get a menu. She politely gave its the menus with an attitude. When they came back to the table 3 of us wanted catfish the waitress.walked to the back for another waitress to walk up and say "how many of yall want catfish well my cook gone so I gotta go back there and cook yall food cause they left for the day" with the nastiest attitude ever and then she stormed off. My problem with this terrible terrible customer service is how the hell do ur cooks leave at 10pm and the restuarants dont close till 11pm. Then the whole staff needs to be fired for an F in customer service. FYI I went to culinary school and know a little something about flavor development. I didn’t want to give this place any stars, but you have to in order to write a review. I literally stop eating to write this review. I’m not gone be completely mean, the CURRY CHICKEN was actually tender, flavorless but tender. upon calling I asked for CURRY GOAT so how I got chicken I don’t know but it was the best part of the meal (must of been God).
