Ms. Tiffany “Tiff” has a True Gift & a Calling. Cooking is Definitely her Ministry. You can Taste All The Love, Planning & Hard Work She puts into her Food. And her Soul is Comforted by Comforting Others with her Food. I was recommended to Dirty Tiff’s by a Coworker whom he & his Wife frequent her Restaurant often. My Mother who is now a Disabled Senior is no longer able to cook, which is such a travesty since she too was an Excellent Cook herself. And because she was, it's difficult to find any Soul Food that is up to her Standards. I’ve have tried many a time to no avail. But Thank God for my Coworker who said hey, I know a place your Mom might like. I called this morning to I see if they were opened & it just so happened Ms. Tiffany answered the phone & she couldn’t have been more warm & welcoming.. Just like her AMAZING Food! I ordered Mother the Fried Catfish Dinner with Greens & Candied Yams & Cornbread & a side of Spaghetti.. Sadly my side of Spaghetti was cancelled off my Delivery Order so I imagine she must have sold out of it today. Not too Surprising it being Easter Sunday. And Praise God, Mother LOVED IT!! She cleaned her plate & the serving sizes are so large that she will have enough for dinner tomorrow also. I tasted everything before I served it to her & Boy oh Boy was it just Soo, Soo Fresh & Delicious.. WOW!

Read moreOk so I normally don’t leave good reviews about restaurants I just become a returning customer. But baabbyy let me tell you about this gem I found when I was craving some jerk. I call about a week ago to place an order and Tiff the owner said they just ran out of macaroni and cheese, I’m like ok I’ll try another time. The past reviews made me keep them in mind cause that Mac looked delicious. I was hungover that day and decided to order from another spot on 79th I never tried and that food was horrible I wound up getting a refund. Fast forward to yesterday, I called to make sure they was open and had the mac n cheese she said they weren’t open yet, but within 30-45 mins. I waited to take my lunch at work, placed my order for the jerk chicken meal cause they didn’t have jerk fish ready on Uber eats and arrived to pick up. I asked when will the fish be ready she told me 30 mins because she takes ppl health seriously and no cross contamination at her establishment. I said cool I understand and appreciate that I would try it another time. I went back to work to clock out for the day and decided to go back for that fish and I’m so glad I did. It was nice portions of which she has lunch specials, seasoned well, not over cooked and the Mac n cheese was absolutely delicious. Could’ve used more gravy on the rice but I mixed them collards with the cabbage and omg hands down. I will be returning and ordering often for lunch. To begin I love all my BLACK OWNED BUSINESS…buttttt…I’m not sure what it is lately but Chicago has been slacking on the food side especially Mac and cheese… I love trying new food and getting a taste of Chicago because this is home and what were known for! I don’t know what this restaurant is know for but smothered chicken, and Mac and cheese can’t be one of them. I don’t like getting food from restaurants and have to use salt, pepper, and hot sauce to tolerate my meal. The cheeses used to make the Mac and cheese was not a great combination…it tasted like a bad box of Mac and the top was burnt as it should be ( you know the lil crisp at the top) well it didn’t taste so good and I’m heartbroken. The smothered chicken gravy had to taste at all like where is the seasoning in this food , the rice underneath was a bit overcooked the chicken was over cooked and wasn’t fried to the right texture to have gravy on top of it to please…honestly the cabbage was the only thing I could handle it was used with some good peppers and seasoning…not sure if I could try this place again but good luck I really think the cooks in our city are starting to become lately this wasn’t cooked with love maybe a lil...
