Dunkin' — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

I have been coming to this location almost everyday for about two months. They usually do a great job but what happened today knocked all that out. I ordered using the drive thru around 5:30pm and asked for a large iced tea, with lemon and half the sugar. I ordered the same thing yesterday and it was perfect so I was expecting the same today. The man on the intercom repeated the order, no problem. I pull around and the young lady hands it to me and I say thank you. Then I hear clapping. I didn't think anything of it and drive off.

When I take a sip of the iced tea it taste like there is TWICE as much sugar. At first I thought maybe I needed to stir it. I did and it was still the same overly sweet taste. It was sweeter than a McDonald's sweet tea and that's saying something! Then I remembered the clapping. I guess they took offense that I asked for something that wasn't a standard order. Doesn't it take more effort to put in more sugar than less? I really don't get it. But one thing I do know is that I won't be back! The two stars is out of respect for the previous...

I had a wonderful experience there this morning! I received a very friendly greeting as I entered the store and great service from the gentlemen at the register. He was patient while I called my mom who was waiting in the car to tell her about the kinds of ice cream Baskin Robbins had available. I then gave him my complete order but had to run out to the car to check on my mom. Our order was just about ready when I returned a minute or two later. I just had to wait for my two croissants sandwiches. The girl who eventually brought them to me wasn't so friendly and seemed like she was having a bad morning.

My only dig is that while there was a handicap ramp TO the doors, the DOORS were not handicap accessible (NOTE: the ramp was kind of located in an awkward place off the parking lot). I wasn't able to get my mom's wheelchair through the door so she had to wait in the car while I went inside. Thank goodness the line on the inside wasn't as crazy as the drive-thru line!!

Alas, I would probably return to this location if I'm ever in...

Normally, these guys are friendly and flexible in granting a request. I come here because it's my neighborhood DD and for the aforementioned reasons. However today, I ordered breakfast sandwiches for my entire family which included 3 breakfast wraps...the wraps come with bacon. I asked for the bacon on the side, but was told they can't do that. I have made this request a few times before today and it was given to me, but this time the order taker refused and said they are not allowed to do that. And of course my wraps are not discounted without the bacon so I pay for it anyway. I believe this should be an option with any sandwiches sale. I guess I won't be going back as if I pay for the bacon it should be given to me as I like ...which is on the side. RIDICULOUS POLICY AND UNCOOPERATIVE TOWARDS THE CUSTOMERS. GET OUT OF OUR COMMUNITY IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PROVIDE GOOD...
