From the time we came into the door until they put our food in front of us, it was 1 hour and 13 minutes. Way too long. The server apologized 3 times, so they knew there was a problem, yet they didn't seem to know how to fix it, usually a management issue. 🙄 We went through 2 baskets of chips and salsa/bean bip once we got to the table while waiting for our food, and they let us run out!
There were 4 of us, and we thought we would try them out. One of us thought the food was really good and she had the shrimp tacos. The rest of us were disappointed 😞. The food looked really good but didn't have much flavor. The taco salad didn't have much more than lettuce in it and was lacking in meat, which was almost non-existent. The red chili burrito didn't taste like red chili at all, and the green chili burrito didn't taste like green chili either.
Sorry to say the best part of this meal was the chips and salsa. The bean dip was just plain refried beans, no added spices or cheese.
I guess I just expected more... a lot more. In my opinion, the reason you go out for Mexican food is for the flavors that were not a part of this meal.. We may have forgotten how long it took for our food to come if the food had been good, but it wasn't. We spent around $80 with tip, and all but one of us had water.
On our way home, we talked about our experience, and it was unanimous, we will not be returning to Garcias because we didn't feel like we got a very good return for our hard earned money and our time was NOT respected.
Therefore, we can not recommend this place.
This was our experience. Hopefully, yours...
Read moreWe have eaten here several times before and loved it. However this experience was quite poor. Service was slow and our waiter barely checked in on us. Our order took over an hour to be brought to us. They forgot 2 of the children's orders. The beans were scorched the rice was dried out and flavorless the guacamole was oxidized and brown. The street tacos were nothing more than diced chicken and old lettuce on a soggy corn flower tortilla. The tortilla soup was beef broth and diced chicken not much else. The fajitas had mostly burnt onions small portions of meat which tasted boiled not fresh grilled. I could go on but you get the picture. We are not picky eaters and as stated before, we have had great experiences at Garcias but quality control has fallen. We invited family and were quite disappointed overall. We feel our money was wasted here. We work very hard for our money. We brought some of this to the attention to our waiter and he simply shrugged. Once we received the check they still charged us 19% gratuity. I only write this review to bring it to the attention of those in charge who can make the necessary changes to improve food...
Read moreI have always loved Garcia's food, but tonight we placed a delivery order. The red chile colorado enchiladas we ordered were delivered without the pork and red chile sauce. When I called the manager Jeremy and told him what had happened he told me I got exactly what I had ordered. I continued to explain to him what was wrong with the order and after several minutes of me explaining what was missing he did admit the order was not done correctly. He then informed me my only options were to come pick up the rest or get a refund. This was obviously extremely inconvenient since we had ordered delivery for a reason. I told him this and he told me to not raise my voice to him. I had not raised my voice the entire conversation, even when he, the manager, was telling me I was wrong. I was very polite during the entire phone conversation. He said the only thing he would do was a refund (which I later found out is a whole process on the delivery app) or I could drive to the restaurant to pick up a new order. He never apologized for the mistake that his restaurant made and was very rude. I am appalled at the way a manager handled...
