I finally came here after many attempts. They close at 7 pm. They’re located in a strip mall with a private parking lot. Inside they have more than enough places to sit for small and large groups as well as for one person. I ordered takeout. I got the big beef 12”, the big Al 12”, Parmesan eggplant fries, mac and cheese bites, Italian pistachio cheesecake, and cannoli Sicilian mini flight. The cost was very reasonable for a lot of food. The owner was very pleasant and personally brought out the food. Overall a 4 out of 5 for me.
-big beef 12” 3.5 - I’ve been to Portillo’s, Buona, Pop’s, and D’capos. I still have to try Johnnie’s. The 12” is cut into two 6” pieces. I like the abundance of meat, more than Portillo’s and Buona. However, I had to knock off some points. Beef was kind of tough and dry. Not nearly as moist as Pop’s and D’capos. Not something I would order again. -big Al 12” 4 - it’s been a long time since I went to Ricobene’s in Chicago but I remember it being very good. The portion size here is gigantic for the 12”. A lot of meat but kind of too chewy. -Parmesan eggplant fries 5 - The eggplant taste is prominent and I couldn't stop eating. Generous amount of Parmesan. -mac and cheese bites 5 - after taking the first bite I like that you can see real pieces of mac and cheese inside. Crispy exterior. -Italian pistachio cheesecake 5 - light, not heavy in taste. Plentiful amount of pistachios within and on top. -cannoli Sicilian mini flight 5 - made to order. Worth coming back alone. Crunchy, creamy, and not too rich....
Read moreI always get the Italian beef baptized with mozzarella and I can’t even explain to you how good it is. It’s a perfect beef, fries are great, service is always excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about Annerino’s, tonight’s order being no exception.
I just have to say, I probably wouldn’t have ever thought to leave a review if it wasn’t for my experience tonight. I’ve had an awful week and was in a pretty rough place when I pulled in to pick up my curbside order when the owner (I’m assuming it’s the owner, it’s the same guy every time who brings out my order) came out both with my order and an extra container. I wasn’t really thinking straight so I just assumed it was part of my order until I got home and looked and it was two mini cannolis he just gave to me! I’m assuming it’s because I came close to closing time, but either way that simple act of kindness really brightened my day.
Not to mention, this man is always so incredibly nice when I come get food. One time back when it was bitter cold outside, I placed an order online and forgot to press the option for curbside pickup but I pulled into one of the pickup spots anyways having not realized that. This same man came outside in the freezing cold still as kind as ever and brought me my food anyways.
Seriously, this place needs to stick around. We have other places to get a beef in town, but nothing tops Annerino’s. And to the owner, if you ever see...
Read moreI have to say that this was such a great experience. I had started this food adventure in search of Italian sausage that contained fennel seed. I found this small hidden gem in Lockport. Upon entering the atmosphere was comforting and staff welcoming. Quite a menu awaits you here. Homemade food items are a staple. I had the 6" breaded steak sandwich which was quite a sight. I had also got my otalian sausage. Homemade sauce for my sandwiches was sweet and and held well upon the mountain of peppers and cheese. The Milano rolls held well under the heaviness of the sandwich. I had also witnessed some folks who ordered the Italian beef sandwich and had more than their fill. Woman mentioned she had lunch for tomorrow, would've ordered a 3" if that was an option. So, you definitely will get your fill here. Highly recommend trying this place. Eat well my...
