Came in for breakfast, coffee, and to get some work done. Had a very bizarre experience. Sitting at a table in the front I was on a business call. I had closed the front door that was left open by an entering customer. The girl behind the counter then approached me with a surprisingly hostile tone informing me that they are going to keep the door open. I was not opposed to the idea, had absolutely no issue with that, however the sudden hostility caught me by surprise and I was in the middle of a client phone call. It was very embarrassing. Once finished with the call I approached the employee to point out the unwarranted hostility and she just responded that she is unwilling to discuss it and told me that I have to leave or she is going to call the police??? I made no threats and was not yelling or belligerent in the slightest. It was so bizarre. I was, and still am just flabbergasted. I know that in her role she probably had to occasionally assert herself when dealing with situations. But I was peacefully working and at no point did she try to approach me with any issues before her sudden rather petulant interruption of my phone conversation. And she was unable to have a conversation whatsoever immediately escalating things to calling the police?!
I would appreciate if the owner would contact me please and would encourage a review of your security footage to verify what happened. I’ve never had any business randomly threaten to call the police on me because I closed a door. That was...
Read moreStood at the counter for 4minutes , shop was busy (that’s ok) there was no “hey I’ll be right there” or “I’ll be with you in a moment” just people walking past me. After 4 minutes cool guy with mustache (great dude) came up took my order. Went to go sit down with my girlfriend, the whole bench was wet so I sat on a corner that wasn’t wet(that’s fine , it happens), the tables were pushed in a corner so we just shared 2 tables (I felt it rude to move the establishments set up). There are 3 open tables in the restaurant , woman with curly hair that works the front walks over and tells us that they have a lot of customers and that they need to take a table from us and that we shouldn’t have taken 2 tables because there’s only 2 of us( my girlfriend was mid bite lol) . I asked her for a rag so I can wipe the bench and not get wet so I could scoot us over. ( the lady that had talked to us needed space for her friend that didn’t need to wait in line, she just walked in an was greeted with a huge hug). 1. would of been cool to hear a “just one moment please” 2. “Sorry for inconvenience, do you mind if I move this table that your eating on we mis judged our table placement”. Literally ANY common courtesy would have made it ok. Even me saying “thankyou” after I ordered and tipped was greeted with a...
Read moreMy husband and I visit this place every time we come to Coronado to visit my folks (that's a lot). We have always had a good experience. Today though, not so much. First, it was very busy (of course that's a good thing for them) but they lost our food, when they finally found it, it was cold. No offer at all to make it up (redo it, free coffee refill...something??). Then while we were sitting inside of a food establishment, dogs were abundant. No....folks were not leaving them tied up outside to come into the FOOD ESTABLISHMENT. They were barking, shaking, jumping up on people...it was ridiculous! I personally witnessed two employees pet the dog and go right back to work. Disgusting! Katy's... you have lost my business. Maybe you don't care...but I am grateful that there is a place to inform you of our experience. Hopefully you will do something in the...
