WOW 🤌🏽 If I could rate 10 stars I would! 😍 This is going to be a detailed review because this is a brand new restaurant and I would want to know ALL the details before going. First, we were greeted and sat IMMEDIATELY at 5:30 on a Friday night despite them being packed! (Party of 2) Within literally 2 seconds of sitting, we were served chips and two separate bowls of salsa (I love when Mexican restaurants give parties of two each their own salsa 😎) We were greeted by what we thought was our server, but was a staff member who took our drink order! We ordered a pitcher of the Cadillac margaritas because we heard they were phenomenal! The guy was extremely friendly and got us our drinks within 2 minutes. Another staff member came and took our order within 5-6 minutes of sitting. We ordered the Texas Fajitas, California Burrito, Queso, and Guacamole. The Queso and guacamole IMMEDIATELY came out. The guacamole was extremely fresh and the Queso was creamy and rich! 🤌🏽 We had a few chips left in the basket and a staff member immediately gave us more! (We never had to wait on chips or salsa) The Cadillac margaritas were AMAZING 😮‍💨 Tasted fresh and had remnants of pulp in them 👌🏽 Our food came in probably 7-8 minutes from us ordering 😳 Sizzling and extremely hot. Our food was flavorful and FRESH. A lot of other Mexican places aren’t like this. We were checked on multiple times by multiple staff members who were very friendly. One of the owners actually came over to ask how our meal was. We noticed he was working and helping the staff members. We noticed that all of the staff members were hustling and everyone was working as a team. LOVED seeing that. As a prior server that is much needed to have a successful restaurant and happy guests! There was even an older man who was taking chips and Queso around just having fun and greeting guests. He was awesome! It looks similar on in the inside to old Scottie’s, but a much nicer and cleaner look now. The decor is unique. Black and white Mexican style decor that I loved! The music was kind of loud but we didn’t mind. The place looked clean. EXTREMELY impressed! So glad a restaurant like this came to the area ☺️ The owner even said they would be the best Mexican in all of STL! 🙌🏽 Go check it out and support them! It’s worth it 👌🏽

Short: Food was great. Service in regards to attention was great. (Had some issues with our server and the bill.) Atmosphere was a little loud but enjoyable. Long: Food was great. Highly recommend trying the street corn. Service & Atmosphere - We were seated without menus, given chips, salsa, our drink order was taken and our chips refilled (We didn't really need the extra basket of chips but it was nice.) Our server came to take our order and we had yet to see a menu. Once we were ready, she had some trouble knowing what dishes got a side and what the side options were. My husband wanted rice and beans and she argued that he couldn't have both until we showed her on the menu that the side was "rice and beans". So far this could all be attributed to it being a new restaurant. However, the next issue occurred with our check. Our check with all food and drinks added up to around $56. The check we were given was for $72. When we asked, we were told it was because of tax. That's about $16 in tax. Which is upwards of about 25%. Our server was never able to give an explanation, just that they hit the tax button and that's the total. Our best guess is that it's tax AND tip. If that's the case, it was not posted somewhere that we could see and our server seemed unaware of it as she kept apologizing and telling us we didn't need to leave her a tip because she couldn't explain the price difference. I can't decide if we will come back. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else has had the same issue with their check.

The food was absolutely incredible. The peach margarita was top notch. We had "The Sampler" We had steak and chicken nachos. We had the Quesadilla Birria which comes with Elote and Mexican rice. And wowwwww, it's so good. The service is outstanding. The servers are absolutely the hardest working servers I have ever seen. The hostesses are very friendly. The bussers work so hard as well. You can tell the team dynamic is great at this restaurant and it overall affects the vibe. The atmosphere is incredible. In and out in an hour and a half with multiple rounds of drinks and appetizers. And the salsa has the most perfect amount of cilantro.

Came the first time with my husband & son, it was delicious! My husband and I split the carnitas dinner and our son had the beef nachos. Came again for lunch on a Saturday a week later and it was just Ok - food just didn’t seem to have a lot of flavor - I had the chicken chimichanga. The meat was so bland!! No spice or sauce on it. The unsweetened tea was perfect though. Came for lunch again during the week and they tried to kill me, twice! No lie - I found a whole bay leaf in my taco salad !!!! Took it out and set it on a napkin to show the waitress. Started eating again and I’ll be damned if I didn’t find another !!!!!! This is horrible! The cook or chef should ALWAYS count how many are going in and make sure to count them again while taking them out!! It was in the ground beef! It is a major choking hazard ⚠️ so I’m so glad that didn’t happen. I calmly showed both of them to the young waitress. She just stood there looking at me blankly -I said “do you understand”? She nodded yes but did nothing about it! I shouldn’t have paid for the taco salad and I should have gotten an apology from the cook too!! So, I’m not sure we will go back - I gave them 3 solid tries. Forgot to mention - the last 2 times (during lunch hours ) there was a bad smell in the place like yucky mop water - they must fix that for sure! I really wanted to have a wonderful and delicious Mexican...
