Was expecting great quality meat packed with flavor for being a cash only non commercial word of mouth type place. Served everything with paper plates and plastic baskets. Priced higher than normal QSR cash only places. I ordered the combo plate and was served with two small pieces. One drumstick and one thigh Along with three pieces of thick cut tri tip. I was hoping for something really moist and full of flavor because it didn't come with any sauce. I also didn't like that they didn't ask me if I wanted a white or dark meat option, for my chicken. Over all the meat was rather dry and for not having any sauce. Was expecting a dry rub or mesquite flavor that would substitute for not having any sauce. My wife got the two tacos and the tortillas were not anything out-of-the-ordinary so I definitely don't think they were worth the $4 price. I would say that the prices need to be dropped three or four dollars if they are going to serve a cash-only paper plate no service type of place. I just didn't find that the...
Read moreThe first time I went to T's I was a new kid in incline, and one of my friends asked if I wanted to go with her to T's for lunch to share a burrito. We walked to their cute little restaurant just down street from incline high school, and the smells still give me chills without even being there. I was hooked on T's from first bite! It is hands down my favorite restaurant to this day! Perfect for grabbing to go to the beach, or after a day hike with your friends! Anytime, T's just does not disappoint! It's been almost 20 years and this little mexican joint is still just as excellent as my very first bite! I don't live in Tahoe right now, but I will make a trip for T's. Everything they make is fresh and their own recipes; They're better than finger lickin good in my opinion. And I'd recommend exploring their menu, because its all good! If you're a sucker for burritos and tacos, you won't be disappointed and get their homemade sauce and salsa! Hehe Bon...
Read moreI am really having a hard time understanding how this gets such high reviews. The fact that it is Cash Only was an immediate annoyance. I understand the "tax" reasons for being cash only, but in this day and age, the restaurant needs to get over any credit card fees. Just raise the price 32 cents and the fee gets transferred to the customer. I tried their chicken sandwich with barbecue sauce and my friend tried their burrito. I found the chicken to be extremely bland. Almost tasted like it was boiled instead of a rotisserie. The barbecue sauce was okay but I had to smother it all over my sandwich so I can get some flavor out of it. I asked my friend what he thought of his burrito, and he said it was okay but also used the word bland. The service was very friendly, and I really like the atmosphere. I would like to try it again, but definitely not when I'm in town on business given the refusal to accept a...
