Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Independence Charter Township

Just as a heads up, Hungry Howies on Sashabaw is using DoorDash for deliveries. Not sure if other locations are too.

When I placed the order I Was quoted 40 min to delivery when I ordered, 1 hour and 35 min later it was delivered. Cold, not in a warming bag, and I watched the delivery status via DoorDash and watched it go from Sashabaw store, to white lake rd/Dixie area, to waldon rd, to oakhurst, finally to be delivered. A total of 45 min just in the car. When brought to the door, no warning bag, the boxes and pizza are ice cold, and the driver was incredibly rude as she banged on our door. After looking at the breadstick box while putting them on the counter right after delivery, the sticker holding the box shut is torn like it was opened and the one on the pizza box was 1/2 way off the lid also.

I called and spoke to the manager and got the typical “it’s DoorDashs fault, not ours but we will remake” which is great and I’m very appreciative of it. My main concern was that it was open but Now it’s 8:40 at night, no dinner, and if I want it remade; I have to go pick up (which isn’t a big deal just annoying because we are hungry).

Placed our delivery 6:39pm called the store at 7:35 to see where my order was spoke with Jermey who was extremely rude told him i was upset our food was late as it was supposed to be there within 40 mins. As soon as I explained to him why I was upset he hung on me. Of course I called right back asked for a manager and got Keagan who assured our order would be to us within the next 10 mins his delivery driver was running slightly behind okay no big deal. Here it is now 7:50 still no pizza so I call Keagan back who tells me theres nothing he can do to just wait it’ll be here when it gets here and refuses to refund my pizza tells me if I want a refund or to complain to contact the store manager in the morning. I again tell him I’m extremely annoyed my pizza has taken an hour and half to get here to just refund me just to be told there’s nothing he can do it’ll show up when it shows up. Our pizza finally shows up at 8:10!!!!! Almost 2 hours after ordering and of course it’s made incorrectly and cold. If I could give 0 stars I would! I guess if I had something good to say about tonight’s experience at least it was cooked. Horrible experience, horrible rude staff. Hopefully the owner does a turnover and has someone other then teens...

This place sucks. Ordered cheese bread and a med pizza double pepperoni with flavored crust. What I got was burnt regular bread and a pizza with 7 pepperoni on it With no flavored crust. When I went back to get it corrected I Stood there waiting for a while when the cook finally came around and asked me if I needed help. I asked to talk to the person who put the quality control sticker on the boxes. when the manager finally came out from the back he asked me what was wrong and I explained it, he said the sticker just means there's a pizza in the box, not that it's right. And that he didn't appreciate my attitude. After waiting for 20 more min The manager sent the cook out to bring me the food. They did put the flavored crust on the old pizza and gave it back to me and also included a giant cookie for my troubles. It still makes me mad that a quality check here just means that they put...
