Fantastic family friendly diner. Certainly one of my favorite Coney Islands in the greater Metro Detroit area. Excellent food combined with well mannered and professional servers. The meals are prepared and served in a very timely manner. Little to no wait time which is a rarity these days. My family and I frequent this particular Coney Island because they always get the food right and it’s always a delightful experience. Overall, be it for breakfast, lunch or dinner if you’re in the area & looking for a peaceful & friendly spot to dine for a fair & worthy expense, the price for a decent size meal here is well worth it! Surely. If you’ll take a moment to peep 👀 the photos I’ve attached to this review. You’ll see why I took the time to leave this review! Stop in and give this Coney Island a chance to satisfy your tastebuds!

For those still cowering in fear from The Covid, you will feel safe and secure here. The owner has gone to great lengths and expense to jump through the random and arbitrary "safety" requirements set forth by the crown. You will likely not interact with or even see any other humans while you're there except your server and the cashier. You will be surrounded by dividers and panels at every turn, with signs and hand sanitizer in abundant supply! It's a lot like what I imagine eating in a broom closet feels like. Please get out and support this local mainstay as they attempt to survive on silly 25% capacity limits and whatever carry out business they can do. The food and the service are as good as ever!

When I get a craving for a coney and fry, but I need to cut out some of the bread, this is a great option - Chili omelette with cheese & onions, side of hashbrowns and toast to take home. This is filling, good portions, too much really for me (which is why this is in a takeout - first half gone). Timely and kind service from waitress to cashier, from taking the order to coffee refills to letting me take a sucker (for the onion breath LOL), the staff was great. The restaurant (including the bathroom) was clean. Parking can be a challenge at busy times, but I have always found a spot. Like the new reward points for purchases. Will definitely be back... again.

I made an order for 2 meals, one a chicken kabob dinner that came with pita bread (my favorite part) I wasn't feeling well which is why I ordered takeout. Got home and my meal had 1 chicken kabob, onions and tomatoes but no pita bread to put anything on. I called back last night because I was frustrated. Explained to the girl what happened and I was told I can either drive back to get the pita bread or they would give me a free pita bread next time I come in. What am I going to do with just a pita bread? And why should I have to drive back for their mistake? I have worked in restaurants for years and anyplace I've ever worked would have first apologized (I got none just excuses that things are crazy and unorganized now because they are going through a management change) then the restaurants I've worked for would have either offered a refund or a new meal next time I visit. Called back today and asked for a manager. The girl I spoke with was not the manager, she said the manager was not in said that's what she would do as well. Is this really your restaurants policy? There won't be a next visit for me but next time maybe I might want a coney dog meal, what the heck am I supposed to do with just a pita bread? What's happened to customer service? How about I'm sorry for the mistake and for your inconvenience let's take care of you?! I usually go to the Sylvan Lake Leo's, I'll avoid the Clarkston one from now on. Seriously I could have been a regular customer for you guys but I'll just spend my money elsewhere when I...

I found the two older waitresses to be unwilling and annoyed to wait on a mother with two small children to the point that one of them felt entitled to verbally reprimand my 4yo who was just excited to be there and have the chance to eat at a restaurant (which we save for special occasions). Naturally, the "bad mother" glance followed. I don't need to make a scene to make my point, the restaurant was 2/3rds empty and unfortunately, they lost a lunch bill and tips. They also lost a repeat customer as I was hoping to visit here more often after the children get out of their programs. We left before we could even order food and before our drinks were even poured to which I was walking to the register to pay for anyway when the waitress walked out and announced in front of everyone she hadn't poured them yet and was quite annoyed that I was leaving; I told her not to pour them and we walked out. I had a heart to heart with my son in the car and we celebrated at home. I'm sure the food is good as we do enjoy the Leo's chain. We will, however, never return to this location. It is hard enough to take young children out and practice etiquette in public (especially when they lost a couple of years of practicing social skills in public due to the pandemic) without other people shaming them and you while you're having...
