I've been to many Five Guys locations along the east coast and in the midwest. As they go, this store is very disappointing.
ATMOSPHERE: This FG store is like all the others with an open, casual layout. One of the quirks this chain has is you get free peanuts for which you can toss the shells on the floor (I feel so bad for whoever has to sweep).
SERVICE: This is the primary reason why this store gets such a low rating. The young, blonde cashier acted like she didn't want to be there. She yawned several times while trying to eek out complete sentences. I rendered her the courtesy of handing my debit card to her, yet she placed it on the counter when returning it (big no-no). The kitchen staff looked very disorganized, and that translated to service times. it took 19 minutes to receive two burgers and an order of fries, which is unacceptable. For context I placed our order at 820PM, which is WELL past the dinner rush. Additionally, my girlfriend's burger was wrong. She ordered a little bacon cheeseburger that lacked bacon, and instead of grilled onions they were raw diced onions. After we finally received our food I tried to get some ketchup to go, but both dispensers were empty (they don't have packets), so we waited another five minutes while our food cooled just to get one condiment.
FOOD: At least this was consistent. Aside from my girlfriend's burger having the wrong toppings, the quality was what I remembered from other FG locations.
VALUE: Five Guys isn't known for being cheap. A standard (AKA double) bacon cheeseburger runs $8.69 + tax, and a large fry runs $4.99 + tax. At least they always double fill the fries. I knew the price scheme going into this because of the fact I've eaten at a lot of FG stores before, but my ire was exacerbated by the fact they charge so much for fast food and can't deliver fast, friendly service.
SIDE NOTE: I reached out to Five Guys customer service online shortly after visiting this store to notify them of the substandard service. Their response was, "We're sorry, and we'll try to do better." Really? That's the best you can do? You'll TRY to do better? That sort of cookie-cutter response basically says they don't care about repeat business.
Sans substantial changes, I don't see this FG location lasting...
Read moreWent here right before closing at 9:45 I ordered and my interaction with the cashier was typical. She didn't seem friendly or cheerful nor rude. I ordered my food to-go as they were closing soon. I didn't get drinks because I figured I have drinks at home. My food seemed to take forever as the fry cook had to ring up another customer and the cashier was now cooking and the burger cook disappeared. My burgers were set by the fry area. The fry guy saw my burgers and dropped fries into cook. I had been waiting 7 minutes maybe at this point. When the cook realized my food was going to be a while he walked over and said, I'm sorry but it's going to be a bit on fresh fries, here are some drinks on us for the delay. Then when our food was ready he said I gave you large fries because of the wait.
I was getting frustrated because I saw the girl set my burgers and walk away and thought , why is my food sitting in a bag?
This fry cook too a 2 out of 10 experience and made it a 9.
The only thing that could make the experience better is if the cashier would have greeted us friendly. Maybe I had a grumpy demeanor because I was starving. Idk, but not my job to be friendly and I understand she might have had...
Read moreI have now been here a couple times. Burgers are good. Not super amazing like I was led to believe but they hit the spot on a day I was craving a burger. Cajun fries were the highlight for me.
Overall I thought it was overpriced and they need to go abit heavier on the seasoning for sure. I had to ask for more seasoning and put that awesome stuff on everything. Lol Cajun burger was where it was at.
I got a triple burger with bacon and after adding the seasoning it was very good. I was not super stuffed like you would expect from a triple. Total price for 4 burgers 2 fries and 3 drinks was $60. (Yes I'm fat and had to order another burger)
Drinks are way overpriced. Burgers are overpriced and the only thing that was absolutely awesome was underpriced (Cajun fries).
Worth going to for sure. Not worth obsessing over. Expect to get good food and a heavy bill with it. Cajun fries come highly recommend.
Oh yes and the order taker was funny as hell. Not sure if that's the norm but his wit make my wife and I laugh pretty good. Not a bad way to start...
