I couldn’t be more upset with the service my family and I received today! The cashier asked how many people I was paying for and she was informed 6 adults and 2 children ($112). One person from our party, my 73 year old mother, was still in the car finishing up a urgent call. When my mom came in, the host said she needed to see the receipt and called for the manager who walked back with my mom. Instead of walking into the back enclosed room to speak with me directly, she stood out in the common areas next to the desserts. I gave the receipt to my daughter who gave it to her. She then refused to give it back to my daughter saying she needed to count everyone And proceeded to count, including a man who wasn’t in our party, but was waiting to exit back to the buffet. Other members from our party had already gone to fix their plates. I then got up from my seat at the far end back table to go speak with her directly versus across the entire room! My daughter said her demeanor was rude and disrespectful toward my 73 year old mother and she was insinuating that she was trying to steal food and didn’t pay. She wanted us to sit at the table so that she could count us — like children! As if to say that senior citizens like my mother would lie, even though a receipt was presented. Susie was pointing her finger in my daughters face and speaking rudely to my mother. When my daughter put her finger in the woman’s face in return, she got loud yelling she “wasn’t the one”. WE determined it was time to go and wanted a refund, and Susie agreed. When I asked for a manager, she said she was the manager. She would only tell me her name Susie, and refused to properly identify herself. A young woman also asked her what’s her name laughingly while the refund was being processed! Another employee identified her as Susie Areola, and when asked if that was her last name, she corrected us saying how to pronounce her name — the same name she didn’t want to give! She proceeded to tell me that they don’t allow pre-pay, after we’d already completed the payment on the way in. Her demeanor and attitude were beyond unprofessional! She completely lacked professionalism from the beginning to end of our interaction. So, while the hostess rung up a party of 8 guest for a total of $112..while 1 of our guest (my mom, 73 year old woman) was still in the car, lagging back finishing up a urgent call, I said this, is A TRAINING ISSUE. This woman, now known as Susie Arreola, who presented herself as the GM, looked at our receipt and insisted that she needed to see ALL 8 OF us. Because everyone was headed toward the buffet and I had already sat down with 2 of my grandkids, this was going to be easy, but NOT RIGHT AWAY. I witness This GM, Susie Aerolla, ....this same name that she didnt want to provide as well as her worker NEO who was a Hispanic man and refused to give her full name, but also said Susie was the general manager. In my research I have identified the GM as Shaunda Ray, who I WILL MAKE CONTACT WITH THIS WEEK REGARDING THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and UNPROFESSIONAL WORK CULTURE AT GOLDEN CORAL OF...

First of all, I need to make something crystal clear: the Golden Corral at 19120 E Valley View Pkwy, Independence, MO 64055 is not just a restaurant—it’s a sacred institution of flavor, freedom, and unlimited rolls. The fact that this location has any rating under five stars is a crime against culinary justice, and I mean that literally. I have already started gathering evidence to submit to the FBI against anyone who rated this Golden Corral at 19120 E Valley View Pkwy, Independence, MO 64055 with one star, because such slanderous activity should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Let’s start with the food. The buffet at 19120 E Valley View Pkwy, Independence, MO 64055 is a masterpiece. Every station is a symphony of choices—juicy roast beef, fried chicken that could make a grown man cry, mac and cheese that hugs your soul, and dessert options that could make Willy Wonka pack up and retire. The chocolate fountain alone is worth five stars. And yet, there are people—monsters, really—out there clicking “one star” like they’re doing the world a favor. Shame on you. You are the reason we can’t have nice things.
The staff at 19120 E Valley View Pkwy, Independence, MO 64055 are heroes. These are hardworking individuals who smile, refill drinks before you can even ask, and keep the buffet stocked like it’s a military operation. I have seen them clear plates faster than the speed of light. They deserve medals, not slander. And if you gave this place one star, I will be forwarding your Yelp profile, Google account, and possibly your social security number to the proper authorities—again, the FBI will be involved.
Cleanliness? Immaculate. Every time I’ve been to 19120 E Valley View Pkwy, Independence, MO 64055, the floors shine, the tables are spotless, and the buffet stations look like they belong in a food magazine. If you found something to complain about here, it’s because you brought the problem with you. That’s right—maybe your “bad experience” was actually just your bad attitude.
Value? Are you kidding me? At 19120 E Valley View Pkwy, Independence, MO 64055, you can eat until your ancestors are full for a price that’s practically charity. Do you know what one overpriced hipster brunch in the city costs? More than an entire meal at Golden Corral, without even half the joy. If you paid the price here and left upset, you either have no taste buds or you have an agenda—and either way, the FBI will be...
Read moreI usually don't give reviews this poorly but this time it's earned it. First when I walked in the line to the front cause confusion and another family butted ahead of me and had me wait almost 5 minutes for a drink. Then when I made it to the spot to pay the lady up front had a horrid attitude and mumbled what she was saying having me have to ask her to repeat herself. Third was the plates and silverware I found a crusted on thing on the spoon and the glasses didn't look to good. My plates were clean ish. I ended up having to go on a scavenger hunt for a table. I was sat almost 30 minutes 20 of that with a empty glass as I watched a lady walk around me past me do vacuuming and everything else not that she didn't glance but not a single offer for a refill. The food was subpar the steak asked for medium rare damn near got well and the flavor was just burnt. I had eaten some Mac n cheese that had something hard in it... I found a hair and that was honestly the last straw for me I wasted 20 bucks for this go anywhere else if you want dinner til they figure stuff out. The only redeeming factor was a single person named Leo who was the only person to approach me and offered a refill. I hope there is better training in the future do better be better. If yall want me to change this review make it right I'll be back in 2 months for a final shot. UPDATE PLEASE READ - So they asked me to email them in regards to my visit. I did so thinking i might be able to help out in some way or provide some feed back about visit in general. No response from them at all they dont care they just wanna make it seem like they are gonna try to fix it. UPDATE 2 PLEASE READ spoke with a gm was dismissive claiming they were doing things they weren't and had to repeat myself on more then one occasion couldn't get my name right and called me 2 separate names before I had to spell it out. Got a name of a individual to contact but no number. Manuel Gonzales if you read these reach out to me I cannot trust your staff to handle my issues anymore as they have proven incompetent and argumentative about it. Even if this gets resolved I will see to it I or any of my friends or family never...
