Read all fine detail. This might seem like a duh! But this store really did intentionally hide a detail about the delivery date on my engagement ring. My partner was told 6 to 8 weeks on December 1st for my wedding set. It had to be special ordered. We had zales willing to rush an order and my uncle to also make me a ring of my choice. But my partner saw the look on my face when I fell in love with a ring at kay. When he went back with out me on that date of December 1st they told him the estimated delivery date was January 15th. They even pointed it out on the paperwork for him to see. He signed off and they have him the ring they had in store to hold until mine came in. After Christmas we popped in to see if my rings by chance had shown up early. That's when the story changed apparently my engagement ring was NEVER going to be here on the 15th. The wedding band was. When it was then pointed out that the engagement ring paper work said 2/18/2020. When in store they never pointed that out my partner assumed when he signed the paper work that the date was the same for both being as it was a set. They never made it a point to bring it up or point it out when having him sign the second paper. We where upset they told us they couldnt do anything about it and we agreed to it and shrugged. No care in the world. We will take the blame for not realizing the date because he was excited and nervous but kay new the time frame was important to us and knowing we would go to someone else and didnt want to lose the sale they made sure not to mention it. I only gave two stars because the lady at corporate was so compassionate when I called her crying that I wouldnt have my ring and did everything she could for me. And a star for the ring it self. Choose a different KAY or company all together. Your special day means nothing to these people they just want a sale. Once said sale is over customer service is lost.
Update: dropped to one star. NOTHING is worth going through the head ache with these people my wedding band came in after being custom made TOO SMALL. We went to the Lee's summit store and they happily helped send it back to get resized after their company never made right. COVID-19 hits a week later. Understandingly enough they closed for a bit. Dropped the ring off in march it's now 5/26 and not a word cant get a hold of anyone not even at corporate to fi d out where my ring is. Stay away from...
Read moreOnly a 1 star because it won't let me go lower. My husband & I went in before our wedding to purchase his ring. He felt like he needed a size bigger than the ring that was in store. The lady helping us insisted that he didn't need a bigger size. So we took her word for it, they told us if it didn't work, it'd be no issue getting it fixed. Fast forwarded 3 weeks, we got married and he was wearing his ring, and it was literally cutting off his circulation in his hand. So right after our wedding, we took it back, it was a HUGE hassle, and getting a new ring wasn't as simple as the rep had made it seem. They had to completely order a new ring. We got the new one ONE week later. TOTALLY THE WRONG RING. They had stated the right one was ordered, Wrong one was shipped. SO they ordered another one, and said it should be here in the same time frame. Here we are THREE weeks later, and my husband STILL DOESN'T have his ring. Every time we go in, or call to check on it, they don't even have his name in the system correctly, and apparently haven't fixed it no matter how many times we've called or came in. My husband & I would not be in this situation if it wasn't for the 1st sales rep pushing us to take a ring he didn't think was going to work, and said wasn't going to work. Between his ring, and my rings. we have spent a lot of money there this year, and the customer service is horrible. No help at all ever. Once we get his ring back, we will be taking our business somewhere else, and will NEVER refer anyone to this store. Super dissatisfied & still super frustrated. AND...

We bought our wedding rings here and today my ring literally disintegrated. I bought a Tungsten ring under the impression it was "indestructible" at least that's the BS I was told when we bought it. Believe me these rings are the equivalent of a quarter machine plastic ring, no joke. I was in a public bathroom and washed my hands, of course no paper towels. So as I was shaking my hand's trying to dry them, the ring slipped off and hit the floor. It broke into FOUR pieces. I know what you're thinking, bad luck, bad metal bond, etc etc. NO to my surprise the salesman says "happens all the time, next time drop it on something soft". That's right, my ring fell on a bathroom floor and broke into pieces. That's what you get for a $400 ring from Kay's. Don't worry though, they offer a replacement for $25!!!! And you only have to wait two months to get it! Wow, what a deal! Don't buy a TUNGSTEN RING EVER...........DON'T SHOP AT KAY'S. It's basically the...
