We went there last night. When we got there we were seated promptly, and the staff seemed really nice. A lady brought chips and salsa, and we thought she was our server, and so we were asking her if they had horchata, she must not have spoke English(not a problem), because she didn't know what we were asking. She brought our server over, and that's when we started having problems. The server was really rude, she asked what we wanted like it was a problem for her to answer. She pointed out the page where the half price specials were. And we had been looking at the menu for a while so we had a few questions. She gave rude answers, then she interrupted our ten year old, and said I meant drinks, what do you want to drink. I have been a server for over ten years, so I get that having people go out of order is a little irritating, but there is zero reason to be rude about it. We have her or drink order, and my boyfriend ordered flan. We waited another ten mins to get our drinks and we watched her sit and take drink orders for two other tables in the meantime. When she finally brought our drinks, and started taking our order, we still had the same questions that she didn't answer before, again rude attitude. When she got to the point to take my boyfriend's order, he said all he wanted was the flan. And she said sorry I forgot. Again, by itself not a big deal, but when adding all the rudeness and attitude we got, we weren't impressed. We ordered an appetizer, and go it, then she comes back and says "we're out of flan" no apology, no what else can we get you. He had ordered flan with our drink order. And it took her bringing our drinks, taking our food order and bringing the appetizer before she comes back like that? We were not happy. THEN she brings comes out caring for plates, which is impressive, sets one down at our table. Places another one on the table behind her, sets another one down on our table, then takes the two other plates to another table. Then she goes back and comes out with for more plates, and drops them off at another table, and THEN brings the rest of our order. The last order was a "T-bone steak" it was burnt, and then on top of that was like 1/4 of an inch thick. We sent it back. She brought out another menu, and expected a 10 year old to know what else he wanted right then. We said we needed a min. So she left and sat two other tables, and took their order before she even looked our way to see if we were was ready. My roommate when up to the counter to place the order, and while she was up there explaining what had happened to the manager, the manager cut her off to help someone else. The manager brought the last order out, and said that they would discount the ticket. When we got the check the T-bone was still on there, we had ordered off of the half price menu, and didn't notice till we left that they charged us full price. We are never going back. In all my years in the food industry, and resturant dining I have never had this horrible of service, and I have never felt that a server doesn't deserve a tip, but for the first time we walked out without tipping. The guy that the manager cut off my roommate to help came to our table to apologise, they had giving him someone else's order, and gave his order to another table. ...
Read moreThe food is "ok." It is not what I will call "good." There are much better choices for mexican food in the area. I can safely say I will not go back by choice. We sometimes go here to eat during lunch breaks on staff work days, and the last several times we have been it has been a complete nightmare. Slow service, blah food, rude staff. I chalked up the first one as a fluke, and the second as the crowd, but the third? No excuse.
We were literally one of only 3 tables there and no tables had more than 5 people (that was us). We were seated immediately, then had to wait 10 minutes to order our food. We had just over an hour to eat and return to work so we were not off to a good start. We ordered basic menu options, nothing fancy or time-consuming to make and no special orders. After 30 minutes more we still did not have our food. I had to get up and hunt down the waitress to ask how long it would be. She said she would go check, and we still had not seen her again after 10 minutes. The others wanted to wait for their food, but I finally got up, left $3 on the table for drink and walked out.
I drove through Taco Bell and went back to work. I ate quickly at my desk and just barely had enough time to make it to our next meeting. The other 4 who were in our small group at lunch did not arrive until 15 minutes after the meeting started, and they were all carrying their lunch in take-out boxes. They didn't even get to eat! They said they paid for their food and asked for it to be brought out in to-go boxes after I left. It is about a 10 minute drive back to work from the restaurant, so they didn't even get their food until AFTER I had left, driven through the Taco Bell drive-through, driven 10 minutes back to school, ate my lunch (took another 5 minutes), and gone up to the meeting to be just barely on time (I think it started a few minutes late).
This is ridiculous- that means it took at least an hour for them to get their food, only to then not be able to eat it while it was hot. Two of them sat in the uncomfortable meeting chairs and ate in front of the rest of the staff, the other two waited until after the meeting and reheated it to eat later. Even if the food still tasted good (which it does not- the second and third time it was not my choice to go there but I was trying to not be difficult since it was the location of choice of several of the others in our group), this is absolutely unacceptable. Read moreIt's been a year since I last patronized your establishment. My opinion has not changed much. I am of Mexican descent, but born and raised in the United states. However; at my last visit I felt like a foreigner in my own home town. Service was terrible and I had to keep asking my waitress for refills for water, sauce, and it took awhile for them to take my order. When they did speak to me they were very short with me. My assumption was that maybe because I didn't speak Spanish that I was being stereotyped. My mom is a great Mexican cook, I know good Mexican food. Your food however is sub standard. There is alot of hamburger fill, and it seems like you hid this by the over addition of sauce, which by the way also has too much hamburger. I ordered one Tamale, and the masa was thick and gritty, with very little pork. I guess your trying to save money at the customers expense. I would not have been there last night if it weren't for friends, and would not reccomend your Restaurant. I know one persons opinion doesn't account for much, but it accounts for me. I hope other Mexicans who don't speak Spanish get treated this way, and made to feel like we don't belong in a Mexican Restaurant. Much hasn't...
