I've been going to this Sonic most of my life and I have never been so disappointed in it. In less than a month I have ordered from it 3 times on the app (2 meals and a single trick or treat blast) and have had the service be unacceptable all 3 times.
The 2 times I ordered a meal I arrived at the time specified by the app when I placed the order. Both times the screen said after 10 minutes of waiting past the time I said I would arrive that my food was on its way then after another couple minutes the screen magically cleared as if I had never checked in at all. The employees did whatever it is they do to tell the system that they gave me my food when in fact they did not. I then ended up waiting 30 minutes past the time I specified for the first meal before calling through and asking them where in the world my food was and 20 minutes past for the second meal. Both times by the time I got my food parts of it were cold because it had been done for most of the time I sat there watching everyone else in the drive through and other people who parked way after us get their food first. They just didn't bother to bring it out to us.
The 3rd time all I ordered was a blast. It takes less than a minute to throw candy pieces in a cup with ice cream and chocolate syrup then mix it all together. I had to wait 10 minutes past the time I said I would arrive. For a cup of ice cream at 8'oclock at night on a Wednesday, when they were not busy at all. That is simply ridiculous.
The whole point of the app is to be able to get my food faster because it should be ready or very close to it by the time I check in. If employees can't get anything done by the time people specify they are going to pick it up then it needs to stop being an option on the app. At the very least this location needs to stop letting their employees tell their system that they have delivered your food to you when they haven't. If it takes you 30 minutes to get my food to me then your system should know about it because you certainly didn't get it to me in 10 which is when you wiped the screen saying it was delivered.
You can bet I will be taking the phone number I see in responses on other reviews here and calling the franchise because this past month with my local Sonic has been quite frankly frustrating...
Read moreFirst off I waited over 20 minutes to be served a discolored and rotten tasting hot dog, I asked for a refund and the entire interaction went downhill, who I assume was the supervisor came out and immediately had a bad attitude, I asked for a refund and he took the food didn’t say anything and went back inside. I pressed the button and asked what he was doing to resolve and was told “give me a minute” so I sit in my car ANOTHER 20 minutes awaiting a refund, the same supervisor comes out with his arm extended holding out cash, he shoves in my hand and then proceeds to say “there you go you didn’t have to be an asshole” mind you I never raised my voice and was polite but firm throughout the interaction. Never in my life have a been cussed at and called vulgar names for asking for a politely asking for refund. I rarely if ever complain. I then pressed the button once again and asked for the name of the general manager, He refused to give me any names of his higher up and told me “leave I gave you a refund I’m not telling you that” . I go here all the time. This is my first time ever complaining and the long waits and food consistency problems are constant. This time I will be contacting the health department. Read moreInitially I ordered a large order of chili cheese tater tots...and after I asked for the tots to be "extreme".
The order taker said, "Yes" and I assumed she added the extra charge. But considering it took her 3-tries to get my drink order correct - that should have been a warning flag.
As I approached the window to pay - I asked if the tots were extreme...the girl had to check & she then returned to tell me they were not & had to add the additional charges. I respectfully declined because the Sonic employee failed to do her job.
If my order was taken correctly the first time - I wouldn't have had to ask at the window nor would I be upset and writing this poor review of my experience.
But the "icing on the cake"...the regular order I received was cold and disgusting...and the frozen mango lemonade was hardly frozen to be quite honest.
I'll be taking my cravings somewhere else...
