A great place to get some great food right off Eau Gallie blvd, minutes from the beach. Planet Grilled Cheese, a Florida-born franchise, launched in 2016 with a simple mission: to elevate the humble grilled cheese into something special. Since it began franchising in 2018, the brand has grown steadily, with multiple locations across the U.S., especially in Florida. The newest addition to the lineup is the Eau Gallie Boulevard location in Melbourne, which opened in early 2025. This particular location is on the north side of Eau Gallie blvd just minutes from the beach. The restaurant offers a convenient stop for a quick bite or casual lunch. True to its name, the menu centers around grilled cheese sandwiches—but these aren't your basic cafeteria melts. Planet Grilled Cheese serves up inventive takes like the "Mac 'N Cheese Melt" and the "Texas BBQ," along with vegan options and their signature organic tomato soup. The inside is clean and modern, with two different couch and chair areas and table seating inside and several tables outside. It gives a very relaxed, fast-casual vibe. The staff at the Eau Gallie location are friendly, and the service is quick without feeling rushed. I had the club sandwich and the voodoo fries. Both were excellent. We were in on Thursday afternoon at 1:00. Nice inside, pleasant atmosphere. We had one Voodoo melt and one Healthy Delight. The sandwiches were great, very cheesy and warm, a nice big portion. I loved my Voodoo. If I have any criticism, I would recommend taking a look at the method of serving dine-in food. It came on a stainless steel platter, our drink cups were leaky, and our 15$ sandwiches came in a too small paper tray. The food is normally very good at the location at the mall, but I came in for lunch today and the food took way longer then expected for there being nobody in there, and you would think the food would have been good for how long it took, but it definitely wasn’t nowhere near as good as usual. Also, I understand that it’s beachside, but the prices were ridiculous compared the mall location. I don’t know if there’s new people making the food or what, but it could definitely be better. I will definitely be going out of my way to go to the mall location for the future until this one hopefully gets...
