Oceanique Resort — Hotel in Indian Harbour Beach

Let me start by saying that the value, location, condo size, and views are a 5/5 stars. This Resort has so much potential. With a few modifications and some necessary capital improvements - this place could sparkle! I do not think this location is safe for pregnant women or those with health conditions. There was a intense damp/mildew smell upon our arrival. There was a dehumidifier inside but it was full and not running when we arrived. There was not enough hot water to fill the bathtub in the main bedroom more than two inches. When we went to turn off the bathtub, the water would not turn off initially and was stuck for a long time before we could turn it off. The toe-kick under the main bathroom sink cabinet is kicked in at the end, could allow water intrusion. There was black mold spots on the main bathroom shower curtain. Cabinet faces and doors have sticky hand and finger prints. There was only one large knife in the kitchen and it was incredibly dull. There was popcorn ceiling throughout the entire place that did not appear to be in good condition, making them unsafe. The elevator was out of service from the time we arrived to the day we checked out. Maintenance started working early Saturday morning, hammering and making excessive noise. They also painted all around the staircase we used to go to our room the day before that. On Saturday, the front desk called us and made comments asking if we were in our room and that they had overwritten our room key and needed to give us a new one. It seemed like someone had been in our room while we were gone. On Saturday night, the sprinklers started and ran for a long time, spraying our rental car and all the other cars in the parking area. Watering this time of year may kill the grass but also they should not be spraying cars. The maintenance man was lingering around the parking area throughout our stay periodically and made us incredibly uncomfortable. My family of 6 stayed for a week around New Years and had an absolutely fantastic vacation. The rooms were well-appointed with many recent updates. There was plenty of space for us. We cooked most nights and didn’t have a problem at all making ourselves at home. The balcony and view were a definite bright spot, and we spent a lot of time visiting outside or just sitting. |The grounds also didn’t disappoint. We went from the pool to the hottub to the beach to the clubhouse to the shuffleboard court. Everything was well maintained. The kids played ping pong and we took some games up to the room for evening fun. The website indicates that in mid-January 2025 they are renovating the pool area. We were fortunate enough for it not to affect our trip. |The staff were also extremely attentive. I called to indicate that we’d need a late check-in, and the woman who I spoke with could not have been more pleasant. Throughout our stay, the staff would greet my family and I. They went out of their way to ask if we needed anything and how our stay was going. |We also caught a couple of satellite launches. The view from the beach in front of the condo was much better than the one from Titusville. |Overall, our week was the most relaxing vacation that we have been on because we are usually on the go. Small, 24 unit timeshare on the beach with large, spacious 2 bedroom units, each with balconies and ocean views located in two 3 story buildings on either end of the pool . The people seem to return for the same weeks each year, many staying multiple weeks and all were very friendly and invited us into their circle.

The main activity is hanging out by the pool and hot tub or in the pool with noodles, etc supplied by the resort. The beach in front of the resort was quiet, empty and very private, and has easy access through the property's short boardwalk and private access gate.

If you are looking for noise and lots of on property activity this is not the place for you; if a completely carefree and relaxing week with a very laid back and friendly group of people you have found your pot of gold. Many good restaurants in the area, some, such as Melo's, a wonderful Italian restaurant and two chains, Texas Roadhouse and Friendly,'s are within easy walking distance. Lots to do within a short drive of the property.

Older project which has been well maintained but could use updated cook tops and bathrooms...We have never had a more relaxing vacation nor madecas many new friends as we hsd at Oceanique.
