I really dig this little coffee shop. On my initial visit I found it was hard to see what is actually happening as the building is older and tucked behind a good amount of overgrown foliage which I now know is their outdoor garden area in the front yard. There is also a lot of foliage on the side too and I really questioned whether the place was in operation at first. It is a small, older beachy bungalow converted to serve up coffee and baked goods and is quite busy at times. The greenery just adds to the charm now that I understand what is here.
Indian Shores has really no seating inside, just enough room for a line to order and pick up and a few fun pieces of coffee and music memorabilia. There is a covered screened in porch with a handful of tables and a larger garden area with a scattering of tables. You are always greeted with a smile and service is very good! Not the efficiency of a chain, but charm that can't be beat. The store setup including counter, giant brass expresso machines and decor setup is just fun to look at for sure.
The menu is fun with a list of decadent coffee drinks with unique names and flavors. The case of baked goods alway looks great albeit a little hard to see. Gluten free muffins are usually available.
This trip I ordered an indulgent Coconut Dream latte warm, a chocolate and a cranberry orange gluten free muffins. Coffee was great and worked like a charm. It was a little later in the morning at 10:30ish and I wish I ordered iced coffee as I did sit to enjoy outside in June. The muffins were excellent for GF, chocolate was large, guey and perfection. I ate her in 2 mins flat...oops! The second muffin I warmed up a few days later in the toaster...also super yum especiallyfor a flavor I would not usually pick!
Indian Shores Coffee is just a cute and unique little place to stop at. Really a must if you stay...

The Coffees & muffins & cookies are delicious, baked on site. The banana is my favorite The breakfast sandwich is oozing with gooey melting cheese!
Prices are on par with other coffee shops on the beach & off the Beach they bring out your sandwich But not the coffees so you have to wait until your coffee is called out , which makes for a fun atmosphere The parking has about 10-12 spots , but people don’t stay that long, so you’ll find a spot , In case you don’t , there’s a city parking lot 200 yards away , for a small fee. There are plenty of sitting in the lanai & wifi There’s also plenty of outside shaded sitting.
I’ve gone back & recommended this place many many times.
Actually i like that place so much that when they got damaged by the hurricane Helen & Milton, I had nowhere to go to (the owners have two other shops in St Pete-awesome too- but too far away for me to go in a regular basis)
They’ve reopened in March after fixing the extensive damages from the hurricane, I was so happy This is my favorite place of all time !
I’ll be moving far away soon , very very far , I will miss the...
Read moreThis is by far my favorite place I visited on my recent 5 day stay in the Indian Shores area. My only regret is that I didn't visit it until my 4th day but you can bet I went there straight days in a row (including the morning I left for home).
What I got: Iced Vanilla Latte Bacon/Egg/Cheese croissant Bacon/Egg/Cheese on a plain bagel
The friendliness of the staff and the service they provided may be the secret sauce of this place.
Or perhaps it's the small, local coffee shop vibe that's happy to exist for its customers.
Or maybe its the wonderful, tasty breakfast sandwiches that supplement their delicious coffee drinks.
You know what, it's definitely all 3. GO TO THIS PLACE.
This is located very close to our condo, so I could easily walk there each morning. Some seating avaible out front and on a side, screened-in patio and some parking available.
Price-wise, it's not more than you pay for Starbucks but I can guarantee it's better than Starbucks and it...
