Located smack dab in the middle of the narrowest stretch of Barrier Reef Island, Tiki Gardens Park pays homage to the legendary Tiki Gardens Polynesian Village. The Village had monkeys, peacocks roaming the grounds, restaurants, lounges, gift shops, and plenty of Kodak moments. The Indian Rocks Beach Museum has a display with some memorabilia, and replicas of the Tiki sculptures. The IRB Museum is located directly across the street from the Post Office ( behind the Original Crabby Bill's ). When planning for a relaxing day on the beach, if you're on vacation or a local, and you're driving, make sure to get a parking spot early - especially on the weekends. The Tiki Gardens Parking Lot is on the Intracoastal side of Gulf Blvd, and it fills quickly. Plan on arriving before 7 AM, get a secure spot, and then you and your family can enjoy a day of fun on the soft sands of charming Indian Shores Beach! If you're going solo, or as a couple, and prefer to "travel light", your best bet is to simply buy a $5.00 Day Pass on the Suncoast Beach Trolley. It's only $5.00 per person, and you can ride ALL...
ย ย ย Read moreThis review is for the parking lot itself. This is a very great place to park as it is used by locals however with all the weekend rentals that have popped up a lot more people have been made aware of this local gem. Now here is why I am only giving 2 stars.... After I spent the 2 hours I paid for in the parking machine my group decided to stay another hour so a few of us walked across the street to add an hour. When we walked around the bathrooms the line to the only parking machine was wrapped around the sidewalk past the building to the bathrooms! Needless to say since we would have waited an hour just in line our entire group packed up and left the beach. My suggestion to the city would be to update the software that way people have options to add time. I received a text message as a receipt for my paid parking why can't that text message have a link to pay to add time? Why not have a QR code to scan and pay or at the very minimum get another...
ย ย ย Read moreIt used to be a beautiful place now it is HORRIBLE! I have been going to this beach for over 20 years. It's only 10 min from home. Loud music, dogs, alcohol drinking, and grilling! EVEN IF THERE IS A SIGN THAT SAYS ALL THE ABOVE IT IS NOT PERMITTED!!!! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE THAT BELIEVE THEY OWN THE PLACE WITH THE HUGE GAZEBOS AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE BEACH!!! Something has to be done! They are ruining our beaches, leaving trash behind! Authorities: If I don't pay for the parking, I get a fine. BUT THOSE VISITORS ( EVERY WEEKEND SAME PEOPLE) ARE NOT FINED FOR BREAKING THE LAW!!!! Luckily, there are other beaches .... Hopefully, these people won't find them! ( My prior review was 5 stars, and it was time to show that now it's...
