We stayed at the Legacy Vacation Resort in Indian Shores FL in February 2022. I can't say enough nice things about this business. First of all it's a “B Corporation” which I had not heard of before. It means that the company takes social and environmental concerns into account instead of just pure profit. So that was an unexpected plus. It was across the street from the beach, backed up onto the inter-coastal and had spacious rooms. The staff was excellent and answered any questions and even made phone calls for me regarding special requests that I had for restaurants. There are grills that you can use to cook your own food if you would like. You have to reserve them to make sure they're available but this was no problem. Someone will come down to uncover the grill and preheat it. Utensils are available to use and when you're done they clean the grill! The rooms are not cleaned daily unless requested for an extra fee, but linens and towels are exchanged daily if you want. Dishes and utensils are included. A dishwasher is provided and they give you dish washing detergent. A small sponge and dish soap is also provided. The only negative about the whole stay was there was no scouring pad for the dishes. My grandson decided he would cook one night. He knows little about cooking and even less about cleaning after himself. I couldn't get the pots clean with the sponge they provided. I asked one of the staff and they were able to come up with a pad for me, even though they insisted I leave the dishes and pots for them. The pool was good sized but not overly large, and they actually had a hot tub that they kept hot which I found both unusual for Florida and enjoyable! I was there with kids and grand kids and we had a two bedroom suite with two baths, included kitchen etc. If you are traveling with the family and plan on doing some of your own cooking, I can't recommend this location enough. I would definitely...

From the moment I arrived Mackenzie was awesome. Staff was friendly, professional and amenities were amazing. Beach was 2 seconds away with a private path. Not like a New York Beach with a million people. Resort also has beach packages for an affordable price so that you can bring your personal items easier to the beach like the carts, beach chairs and coolers. Donna was superb, friendly and welcoming. Staff was also very knowledgeable and provided everything we needed with ease.Engineering staff was polite and very attentive to our needs. They also let us be aware of dock access, laundry area. There was a convenient store with everything you also need right next door so you’re literally in the heart of the best location. Stores , restaurants , movie theaters and malls were 10 mins away to enhance the vacation experience. I have been to many places from Miami, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Orlando , and palm coast and this has been the best to make the vacation experience easy. We hate going back home with the stress of the mess you make to actually go on vacation but this experience turned that view around. We are delighted to return and would rather deal with the ease this company and staff provided. The Peking was covered so you don’t leave with a hot vehicle…. Thank you Legacy Vacation Resorts for an excellent vacation experience, we shall return for many years to...

Now that we're back home, I understand why everything turned out the way it did. Let me start from the beginning. It was our second time at the hotel, and we were expecting the same level of service, but something had changed for the worse over the last three years. We booked a room through their website and were also informed that we had received a cash back for booking through theguestbook.com service. On the day of booking, I saw that a reward of just over 50 dollars had been credited. I chose not to cash out the cash back right away but decided to check everything after the vacation. We checked into the hotel not at 4 PM but after 6 PM. According to the service on their website, I saw that the hotel was almost empty, with 9 rooms available. We were greeted by a guy who, like us, was from Houston. We asked for a nice room since it was our second stay at the hotel, and they gave us room 208, near the elevator, with no view. We were tired and did not ask to change rooms, but it was disappointing. The next day, our electronic keys stopped working. We had them reset at the reception, but it turned out this was done on purpose; the guestbook.com site showed that we had supposedly canceled our reservation! Throughout our stay, there were garbage bags near our room, and when we checked out of the hotel, we did not receive an invoice. I highly do not...

This was a decent place, for an RCI exchange resort. What really made the visit as good as it was, was the customer service. Gee was exceptional, and went above and beyond for us, before our stay, upon arrival, and during our stay. He even found coffee filters that fit the coffee maker in our room, since the ones we brought weren't the right kind. The others we encountered were also above average. We were grateful to have the upgrade from a studio to a one-bedroom, because it made our stay more pleasant. If you don't have children and want a quiet stay, I recommend asking for the top floor. The noise above us was disruptive to our peace while in the unit. The TV service was out of their control, but the guide listed only the channel call numbers/letters, and otherwise had No Information listed for every channel. Nothing for what was playing, and there was no TV guide available at the front desk. They did bring a channel listing to our room and tried to rectify it the best they could. The bed was beyond firm, but thankfully, we were traveling by van, and had our own foam mattress topper that made the bed bearable. The location was good, located on the bay side, not the gulf side. There is beach access within walking distance, but not if you're carrying a lot of gear. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, mostly because of their friendly and helpful employees.

This place worked out amazing for our family of 5. We have 3 older children and we had connecting rooms with a king bed, two double beds, a pullout couch and a full kitchen. This is a quieter place, great for families and centrally located between Madeira beach and Clearwater Beach. Beach access to Indian Shores beach is right across the street. Great fishing pier in back of resort that was great to sit out and enjoy the view or go fishing. Grill and fire pit available. Pool is smaller but sufficient and there is a hot tub. Staff was amazing and super accommodating. Liked having the game room with pool table for my older boys to hang out in. Everything is clean and nice. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves even though it was sold out. If you’re looking for a smaller, quieter place with nice rooms, friendly staff and condo-like accommodations then this is the place for you! It is about 8-10 miles from Clearwater where there is a lot more action, so more of a drive than a walk. We are used to Ft. Myers Beach and this area was very similar. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay here again!
