We have stayed here through Interval International timeshare exchange, several times over the past five years. This is our favorite Beach to come to and in an awesome location.||After reading all the comments here on Trip Advisor, I realized everyone seems to have the same opinions. I must say the girls in the office were great at check-in. We were put in a unit facing the street side of the building which was fine, until the construction started every weekday morning around 6:30 am. They still use the old style Hotel keys. Several times we had a drop what was in our hands cuz it took the two of us to open the door. Upon entering the condo first thing we noticed is how clean it was. Then we saw all kinds of stuff under the sofa Goldfish crackers, candy wrappers, empty snack bags. While we're discussing the furniture, in the living room, there was not one comfortable place to sit. The furniture was not in great shape but did not have rips or stains. But it was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on. We actually took two Chairs from the balcony outside and brought them inside just to watch TV. Also there are a lot of electrical outlets in the unit but we only found three that actually worked. I think the outlets were just so old and worn out no cord can stay in them. The king size bed in the master bedroom was horrible! I felt Springs in my back all night. Neither one of us had a good night's sleep in a week. The mattress cover was so old and tattered as was the bedspread. Our sheets had some awful stains on them. Just thinking about where these stains could come from grossed me out. The towels were exfoliating our skin it was so horrible and felt like sandpaper. Our pillows were as flat as pancakes. I brought one from home and thank goodness I did. We have friends coming up on Wednesday and when we went to the office to get more pillows we were told all they had with two left. Once our friends arrived they also said the two twin beds in the second bedroom horrible! And they showed me two towels in their bathroom that had holes in them. I was pretty disgusted. Speaking of towels, expect very little water pressure if you're planning to take a shower it's going to take you a lot of time but at least after running the water for five minutes we did get hot water.||The cable TV wires in the living room with tangled around each other out in the open. With kids, they can easily get hurt. In OUR closet a piece of the drywall was laying on the floor. Another hazard if we had kids with us. This resort was always one of our favorites on the beach we love. We were talking with two other couples in the ocean who began to talk about how badly this place needs to be updated. Neither one of which said they would come back. And honestly I don't think we will either until I hear the resort has been updated. We had to call maintenance because the dryer smells like smoke and after looking inside something already did catch on fire in the back part of the filter was burnt in the back of the dryer was burnt. AND it ran SO loud !See photos below. After looking at it, the maintenance man said they will replace it right away. Well they never did.|Just a few more negatives. They have button keypads to get into the pool from 2 different gates. Neither one worked. The buttons were SO worn, you couldn't see what they said. Unless someone was in the pool, you couldn't get it.|The hot tub did not work for the entire week.|The bath tub was so slippery, we had to put a towel on the bottom so we wouldn't fall. Rubber bath mats should be offered.|The toilet in the master bathroom did not work very well. The float inside had to be wiggled to get the water going again.|We were missing several slats on the vertical shades in the master. So we had to prop the chair against them at night so they stopped banging. |ONE LAST THING...|Parking underneath the building was horrible. If you pull way in, like they suggest, you take chances that you will hit many of the cement fat pilings. So we opted to park outside. |If not for the beautiful beach, I think we would have left after a day or two.|There's NO PLACE...
Read moreThe Bay and Beach Club can be found in the lovely Indian Shores beach community, conveniently close to shopping and dining options. The accommodations are split between units located on the beachside and others across the street on the Bay. The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom bayside unit I occupied was large with plenty of storage, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a balcony overlooking the Bay. |The unit was poorly maintained and carelessly cleaned. |Maintenance:|The water diverter in one of the showers needed to be replaced or repaired. Whenever the water was turned on, half of the water came out of the shower head, and half came out of the faucet. Both toilets ran continually. Holes were patched when a towel bar was removed, and the white patching compound was never painted. The carpeting was worn, stained, and fraying. When I completed the inventory list I was given at check-in, there were 19 missing items - mostly kitchen items. The pool appeared cloudy, with noticeable patches of sunscreen floating on its surface.|Cleanliness:|The carpeting was stained. There was a large roach, also known as a palmetto bug, lying dead on the floor of the bedroom that had not been swept up. There were unwashed dishes in the kitchen cabinets. I informed the management about the unclean dishes, but they explained that the housekeeping staff only puts the dishes from the dishwasher into the cabinets and doesn't inspect the contents of the cabinets. They suggested that the previous occupants of the room possibly left the dirty dishes found in the cabinet. However, this explanation seems an inadequate excuse for dirty dishes. Although we did not use the guest bedroom, I stripped the sheets from the guest bedroom at the end of the week. The mattress pad on one of the beds was dirty. Since Florida is an indoor clean-air state, there was an ashtray at the base of the elevator for cigarette disposal. During the week, the cigarette butts were never removed from the tray. The BBQ grills were not clean. |The property has the potential to be an excellent resort with proper maintenance...
Read moreWe stayed here as an exchange with interval international timeshare. I picked it because it is right on the beach and sounded decent. However this place is a dump. Here are the pros and cons. Pro- the women in the office are very nice. It is right on the beach. The units are spacious. Cons- it’s on the beach, but good luck getting a room with a view, we had a lovely view of the busy street in front. The first impression is a filthy decrepit elevator- there is no lobby. Furniture is so old and dated and looks like it came right from a goodwill store. Towels are literally paper thin. There is no shampoo, body wash, lotion, hair dryer or laundry detergent ( I did call the office and asked to borrow a hair dryer). I asked about getting clean towels and was told that I had to wash my own and that’s why there is a washer in the unit - of course there’s no soap so you have to buy your own. |I took a few pictures of an end table, the entrance elevator, and a picture of the amenity of free beach chairs that are left by previous guests, beautifully dumped by the garbage dumpster for you to pick through. I’m sorry, office crew were nice to me but I...
