Slow, expensive, and they prioritize mobile orders over people in the store that have been waiting.
Addition: Per Penn Station's request I sent them a message regarding the encounter I had. I will add it here because it is much more descriptive.
I went in to this location and spent almost $50 on two sandwiches, two drinks, a large fry, and some cookies. Which is already very expensive but my wife who had literally given birth that morning wanted Penn station so I wasn't going to argue and just dealt with the fact that the food is wildly overpriced for what it is.
What actually made me mad was standing there waiting for about 20 minutes, watching my food get messed up when the woman making sandwiches put American cheese on my Philly cheese steak. Rather than immediately correcting it and making a new one, my sandwich was apparently pushed to the end of the line while I watched 7 other people all either walking in, GrubHub, or mobile orders get their food and leave without any explanation as to what had happened as I stood there and waited, needing to get back to the hospital. The older woman processing payments and making sandwiches seemed completely out of it and totally incapable of doing her job correctly without having to be handheld through everything.
No apology was given, and it wasn't until I said something to the lady who appeared to be the manager on site that I was rudely told that my sandwich was messed up and had to be remade, not explaining why I got shoved to the back of the line.
I will not be going back to this location and will actively tell this story to anyone suggesting eating there, or probably any Penn Station for that matter as the cost alone already put me off and the ineptitude combined with rude response from the staff tells me this location and Penn Station as a whole is generally not worth the obscene amount of money that they want...
Read moreTwice now I’ve tried to order food from this location, well before close. They have a cut off time of 30min prior for placing an order, which I totally understand. However, this particular location has a bad habit of not picking up the phone when it approaches that cutoff time. I called 40 min prior each time, and no one picked up. I proceeded to call on my drive from my home, still intending on bringing food home to my wife. The first time the closing employee wanted to debate with me about the reasons why. The second time, the closing employee (not the same one) was clearly frustrated by my presence and cared more about making sure her family (who was also dining) was taken care of. The manager eventually made my food and was more than accommodating each time, but this practice has to stop. You’re actively driving away business! The Penn Station brand deserves...
Read moreI ordered a regular BLT sub. I was not expecting to receive a footlong piece of bread with three strips of undercooked bacon on it. Total cost of my meal with $18. I believe this to be very overpriced the inside of the restaurant appeared to need some cleaning as over half of the tables had mess left on it for previous customers and a few of the chairs had some sort of liquids spilled on them. The value of the meal I received was not on par with what I paid. I will not be returning because I believe it for the price. I paid for a piece of bread with three strips of bacon on it. I could have went to a steakhouse and...
