Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in Newburgh

Fast food, better than most, still fast food. Items ordered: -Spicy Chicken Teriyaki, all broccoli, white rice, extra sauce. -Chicken breast Teriyaki...(they were out)...comprised with Chicken Teriyaki, vegetables, white rice, extra sauce. -Crab Rangoon. $29.18. I'm prior military, pretty much all bases have a Teriyaki Chicken place. I'm used to the chicken being covered in Teriyaki sauce. That way you can mix it with your rice/ veggies. This chicken was more like seasoned chicken vs Teriyaki chicken. Very little sauce. Fortunately I ordered extra sauce ($0.75) from reading prior reviews. It's marketing genius!.. dry Teriyaki Chicken, buy sauce. The food was good. Overcooked and chard chicken... not burnt, but cooked a little to far. Portion of chicken was good.

Crab Rangoon, over cooked, dark edges, with no sauce. Mediocre at best.

The staff was very friendly and nice. The place was clean, employees seemed pleased to be working there. Very good sign!

Overall, not sure I would go back for the money. I did eat the full meal, it served its purpose. $30 for 2 meals, no drinks. They are definitely worth a visit to firm your own opinion. Maybe on a different visit I would have a different take away... this visit, not so much. The fact that they respond to the reviews is very impressive. If considering going, give them a try. Just go knowing it's fast...

I have ate carryout from here twice although my wife has had this food several other times. The first time I had terriyaki chicken with noodles and I thought it was very good. I loved the noodles and chicken and it had good terriyaki flavor. The second time I had the terriyaki chicken and white rice. Didn't enjoy the food the second time. Rice was too dry and flavorless. Whatever seasoning was added didn't taste like terriyaki but was more or less just a sweet sauce. I don't know what was wrong or if the wrong sauce was applied. The chicken still tasted very good with good terriyaki flavor. If the food is consistent like the first experience we will eat here often. If the food is like the second experience I will not dine here. My rating the first time would be a 5 but the second time would be a 2 or 3. Hence this rating of 4. Yesterday was the first time I ever went to teriyaki madness I have seen a whole bunch of pictures and stuff on my Facebook feed and wanted to try it for myself the teriyaki chicken was amazing the teriyaki chicken breast was even more amazing and I have never had orange chicken taste so good before and exactly the way it sounds orange chicken is the way it tasted, the staff was very nice and pleasant took a few minutes out of their time to ask how we were and had a very nice conversation with us when they had a few minutes very pleasant and nice, overall it was a very awesome experience and I felt very welcome, thank you for the pleasant experience at teriyaki madness definitely will be...
