1st I was having trouble ordering through the app (but finally could) 2nd was missing a small coleslaw but lady saw and put one in (a younger guy put my order together but she handed it to me) 3rd I checked it again because in the past I've had missing items, and yet again was missing a large fries and piece of chicken (had ordered the 10 piece and only had 9) also I asked if I could get new mashed potatoes because I didn't want the gravy on top (not everyone wanted gravy, I thought it'd just be given on the side) Guy gives throws the potatoes and gives them to me separately *Lady is a little frustrated too, says "who put this dang order together" proceeds to count chicken pieces, in fact I am missing one, she asked what flavor I answered all is classic than she puts it in their and tells me they are completely out of fries that I needed to get something else, so I said Mac and cheese is fine. I arrived a few minutes before pickup time to find out my order wasn’t ready and that the doors were locked and only the drive thru was open. I called the restaurant directly while waiting outside and was informed that I would have to go through the drive thru lane to pick up my order. The drive thru had 17 vehicles backed up waiting to either order or pick up their food. My whole family was waiting on me to deliver dinner only to find out I would be an hour or more late. I asked the person on the phone call about getting a refund for my order and she said o would have to call when the manager was there. I waited in the drive thru line and asked why their doors were closed and she said we’re understaffed. I asked why they didn’t hire more people and she rudely replied “you want an application?!!” If that’s how I’m to be treated at Popeye’s I’ll never be back and will encourage others to stay away! My 94 year old father, my 90 year old mother, and my two sisters 67 & 69(with advanced diabetes) all had to wait for me to arrive more than an hour later. Read moreToday was my first experience at this restaraunt. I did a mobile order to pick up in the drive thru. First, there were absolutely no cars in the drive thru. However, there was a lengthy delay before anyone came to the speaker. Made me wonder if the person working the drive thru was goofing off.
I then proceeded to the window and was given my food. However, I was not given the drink I ordered. I then had to wait at the window until I was noticed. The guy at first acted like I was stupid and then acted really lost when I told him I didn't receive a drink. He stumbled around and then acted like a light bulb came on and found the drink and gave it to me.
My order was for a chicken sandwich combo. I had seen reviews on this sandwich and wanted to try it. It was an excellent sandwich, neck and neck with the Chick-Fil-A's sandwich very, very good.
However, I can see why this establishment has reviews menioning poor customer service. The gentlemen working the drive thru today appeared to either be poorly trained, have a poor attitude, or be unmotivated or all of the above.
