Yesterday was my first time ever visiting this restaurant & I can firmly say I won’t be coming back. It was my friend + her partner & I came with my date. The service was poor from the moment we arrived, even though the restaurant was empty it took almost 20 mins for us to even get our drinks. The food was honestly mid in comparison to other Mexican restaurants, they have a ribeye for the Carne asada & don’t even offer tomatillo sauce on their menu. It took an extended amount of time to get our food and through that wait our server was very inattentive & would neglect our table for extended periods of time, never caring to check in on us to see if we needed anything or to at least let us know the food is coming soon. Lastly the main issue was the bill because it was 2 separate checks of around $80 & they tried to individually charge us a 20% gratuity. They referred us to their policy on the menu but the verbiage didn’t add up, it stated if you had a party of 6 or greater OR if your bill was over $125, the 20% gratuity is automatically added. We explained neither of those were our case because A. We were on separate bills & B. We were only 4 people total. Respectfully, they aren’t even up to date on their permits/licenses so you are able to take your alcoholic drinks togo. The experience was just unpleasant, while we tipped the server, I won’t be coming...
Read moreI was very pleased with my experience at Bugambilia‘s. The day I went, one of the servers called in. The server who was helping my friend and I was nice enough to give us a heads up to order our food before a group of 20 who had a reservation came in, which would’ve significantly delayed the preparation of our meal. The server was so very kind and helpful. Great service! The menu was very well done and I saw several items on there that I have never seen on any menu at a Mexican restaurant before. I cannot wait to come back and try all of those items. I had enchiladas for dinner, which I have never had before. They were so very good. I personally did not care for the mole sauce, but I had also never had it before. I’m a big fan of red sauce and queso, so I just don’t think that mole is my thing. The enchiladas themselves were delicious and the chicken just melted in your mouth. The rice and beans were also fantastic as well as the strawberry lemonade. Their chips and salsa were also delicious. My best friend had their fajitas with flour tortillas and they smelled so delicious! It was a sizeable portion and had a lot of meat with the three meat option she chose. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I liked the way the restaurant was set up. The prices were very affordable and the portions were of good size. I look forward to...
Read moreMy husband and I and two friends had dinner here. We had Enchiladas, Milanesa and Quesadillas and Margaritas. The wait time was fairly long. The food was pretty good, and strawberry margarita pitcher was strong. We had two issues first one was we were not allowed to take our drinks to go even though the new law went into effect on July 1, 2024. We were told that the company doesn’t have the license that allows to go drinks. Next we had two separate bills which were 2 people per bill. Our bill came to $76.00 upon revising the receipt we were charged 20% gratuity on the bill mentioned this he provided the menu for clarity but reading the menu it read for gratuity it applies to 6 people or more or if your bill is over $125. He tried to say that both bills combined together came up to $125 but I stated we had separate checks and 4 people. The other couple was charged gratuity as well. Pay attention to your receipts I told him the verbiage should be clear indicating whether there is six people or even if separate checks total $125 each party will be charged 20% gratuity and still expecting a tip. We tipped the server despite him not being very attentive but...
