I would have given this place 5 stars UNTIL LAST WEEK!! I’d give ZERO if I could now.
Last week, I ordered food to pick up and spent over $96 after tip PLUS while we waited for food we purchased drinks at the bar. The bartender that day was awesome!
Got our food given to us at the bar - we walked out and drove home. Got home and realized the order that was given to us was all wrong, we had received someone else’s order by the name of “Jane” and it was “extra hot” None of us eat that spicy of food in our house. I called and called to talk to someone and no one answered - kept getting a “mailbox full” response when calling. Finally was able to leave a message after calling 12 times. Left a message and never got a call back from anyone - we do not live close so we threw the food out and made dinner plans at home last minute.
The next day, I called and spoke with a manager who I had to ask for his name over 7 times before he would give it to me. He said his name was “Shehong” (not sure of spelling) at the end of the call. The total of our messed up portion of our meal was over $50 (after tax). He kept saying we would have to BRING BACK THE FOOD WE BROUGHT HOME and he could only offer us $15. That was unreal to me - They would take food back that had been in someone’s home? For one, that should be against any guidelines, as I would not want my food back that entered someone else’s home or that could have been touched! So - they messed our order up, didn’t answer the phone no that day, and never called back after leaving a message. I informed them this was unacceptable and the food had been thrown out as we couldn’t reach anyone and didn’t live close. We don’t do spicy like that and there was no reason for it to sit at my home. “Shehong” said he was talking with another manager, came back, and said he put a note on our file for next time we order that would be replacing the food that was messed up from our original order with no charge PLUS 10% off the next. That worked for us as we do love the food there.
Tonight, I called to place our order again. I explained to the women who took our order what happened last week and she said she saw the note on file to replace the food we didn’t get last time, but she couldn’t deduct the amount until we got there to pay tonight. Placed our order PLUS other food we were going to pay for, DROVE ALL THE WAY THERE AGAIN to get there and then be told “we’re sorry, but there’s only a note on file for 10% off and that manager isn’t in today who you said stated would be replacing the food.” I stayed home this time, but of course we decided to not take any of the food after this. We should NOT be told one thing by a manager, who now it seems like he told us this to get us off the phone, and then get there and told the opposite after being told ON THE PHONE MAKING THE ORDER that they do see the note to replace the food. I called multiple times again tonight to talk with the manager on shift and of course, no answer and “mailbox full” again.
Now we have had TWO dinner nights ruined, still haven’t had dinner tonight, and have wasted gas driving there two times STILL not getting the orders we placed on either occasion.
I have brought our company up here in large groups for dinners - I would brag to people about this food. From here on out, we will never return and I will never be speaking highly of this establishment. I will be reporting this as it seems customers are being lied too and taken advantage of by the employee here. Horrible taste in my mouth and it’s not even from any of their food either because WE DIDN’T GET...
Read moreLet’s take it from the top.
Service? Fast, friendly, and attentive at the start. We got seated right away, greeted quickly, and everything felt smooth. But when I asked for a Tito’s and Sprite cocktail, I got a Sprite and a shot of Tito’s on the side like it was a trust exercise. Sir, I didn’t come here to audition for mixologist. Just bring the drink ready—this ain’t bar school.
Appetizers? Absolutely not. The mozzarella sticks were giving deep-fried lies. No cheese pull, no stretch, barely any cheese to begin with. They were lukewarm, stiff, and spiritually offensive. I wouldn’t feed them to my worst ex. Honestly, it tasted like they borrowed them from a gas station and tried to pass them off with confidence. Don’t do that.
But the seafood boil? She came to slay. I had the King Crab, Snow Crab, Sausage, Corn, and Potatoes combo—and listen, we were all quiet at the table for a reason. That flavor had us locked in. Seasoning was on point, crab was juicy, sausage was snappin’, and the potatoes soaked up everything like they understood the assignment. The seafood really stepped in like, “Let me fix it.”
Now let’s talk ambiance. Toward the end, a child started screaming like they were being evicted from their own birthday party. It was giving “family-friendly chaos.” My drink also never got refilled—server was still cool, just busy chasing tips like it was a sprint. I get it, but my Sprite was out here gasping for help.
Final Score: 7.6/10
Would I come back? Yeah, but I’m skipping the mozzarella heartbreak and mixing my own drink at home next time. If the boil hits like it did today, it’s worth a visit. But know what you’re walking into: good seafood, uneven service, and the occasional ghetto symphony in...
Read moreMy wife and I tried the Juicy Seafood Restaurant & Bar yesterday afternoon and we are definitely coming back. She had the fried shrimp basket and I had the whiting fillet. We skipped the standard Cajun fries (tends to be too salty for me) and went with the onion rings, followed by the cheesecake and the chocolate cake.
We also had hushpuppies for the appetizer. These were perfectly fried, not too hard an exterior and airy interior. The dipping sauce (ranch?) was tasty and neither of us are ranch fans.
The fish was succulent and the breading was thin enough to give flavor, but again, not so thick or overcooked that you'd chip a tooth on it. The shrimp was NOT rubbery as a bad overcooking can cause, but tasted fresh and perfectly heated through. My whiting was delicious and both servings were plentiful.
The onion rings were mavelous. Again, perfectly coated and the onions were done thoroughly so you could bite through them and not take the entire onion with you, leaving only a 3/4 ring of crust.
After that, we had the desserts and both were marvelous, as was our attentive and courteous server. In addition, if the sauces (ranch and bleu cheese) weren't freshly made on premises, I'd be surprised.
The only kvetches we might have were the cole slaw could have been given a little more sauce, and the sweet tea was just a touch too sweet for my personal tastes. But this wasn't enough to diminish the dining experience and we'll definitely be back. Highly...
