First time ever having bad experience with asian community. Chef for hibachi read the crowd fairly well. He knew who was not going to let him squirt or throw stuff into their mouth. lol However my waitress was absolute trash. Idk if she was pmsing or what but she was horrible. I think is this the perfect birthday spot… would I come back? eh in about 3 months or so. When they have waiters that can serve a proper spirit free mule. which btw I $paid 30 for 1 can of Ginger beer because we order 3 mules 1 with alcohol and 2 without. $30 for 1 ginger beer is wild lmao. Then the waiter gave my sister attitude over 48 cents as I was getting change and she refused to take the cash inside the black pay tab. I paid and left. Her tip was 52 cent. Because thats what her attitude was worth combined with her ability to serve.
Edit:
I’m not asking for a refund. Ain’t nothing free in life.. I get that. First I was lied to and told we don’t serve mocktails or spirit free mixed drinks. Thats what My waiter told me… Then the rest of the night even after I felt the bad energy. I was still polite enough to give her the proper Pleases, and thank you and the attitude towards my sister for 48 freaking cents is insane… hell even the white folks at the table thought the waiter was tripping and couldn’t understand the issue (mind the fact I was getting change So I could tip her a solid $20 for the 3 drinks she brought me and my sister. The issue isn’t the drinks…It’s the waiter’s attitude. I get the whole deflect concept but I just don’t accept the fact I am a paying CUSTOMER… I pay for service not lies. Sorry I don’t drink in the public (to the waiter) I have damn near enough alcohol to fill a barrel at home…bur the lying and attitude was the problem NOT...
Read moreI have visited this place with my family and other groups many times, but recently, my experiences have begun to decline.
The service here has become the worst I’ve ever encountered. The staff are unprofessional, and the phone operator is not helpful.
When I called to make a reservation for Mother’s Day, they told me they couldn’t assist us because we only had three people. I inquired whether it would be acceptable to come around 3 PM, and she replied, “I can’t tell you that.” When I pressed for clarification, she suggested we could “come and try.”
We often have to wait a long time for servers, and they rarely return to refill drinks, if we even receive our drinks at all. Typically, we spend around $150, including tip, each time. While the food is good, the service does not meet expectations.
Frequently, we find ourselves getting up to find someone for drink refills. It’s frustrating to see a place with so much potential allow its service to deteriorate.
I wish these establishments would learn some basic customer service skills. It would be nice if, when people call, they showed some compassion and willingness to assist.
Additionally, servers need to spend less time chatting around the service counter and more time checking on their tables for drink refills or asking how diners are enjoying their meals.
Fortunately, we live in Fishers, where we have four other options nearby. We will likely start trying those places instead, as this restaurant, like many others, has enough customers to sustain itself yet does not seem to value repeat business.
As for our company gatherings, we will no longer hold meetings there, meaning they will lose several thousand...

Masa Sake Grill is a Japanese restaurant offering hibachi-style meals along with a sushi and sake bar. This was our second visit, and we came on a Monday around 5:30 PM. Unlike our first visit—on a packed weekend—the place was quiet, which we honestly preferred. We were seated immediately, and after a short wait for a few more diners to arrive, the hibachi show began. Perfect timing—we got to ease into the evening with appetizers and conversation.
We started with crispy spring egg rolls—simple but satisfying and tempura shrimp. For the main course, we both ordered “The Impossible,” which includes chicken, shrimp, and steak. Alongside it came a light broth soup and a fresh lettuce salad with a great house dressing.
The hibachi experience was the standout. The chef cooked everything—rice, vegetables, and proteins—right at our table, mixing in just the right amount of showmanship. It was fun, engaging, and the portions were huge. Like most tables, we ended up taking leftovers home.
The atmosphere is laid back and cool, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and there’s plenty of free parking—always a bonus.
Overall, the food was excellent and reasonably priced for both the quality and the hibachi experience. We’re already planning our third visit. Just a heads-up: weekends get loud and crowded, so come on a weekday if you’re looking for a quieter, more...
