Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Definitely will not be back. So many reasons I don't even know where to start. I ordered to go this evening, I haven't been to this location so I wasn't immediately familiar with where it's at. However it was closest to my house. GPS took me across the street to basically LA Fitness parking lot, and told me I arrived. Obviously that wasn't right, so there I am driving all around 38th street at 8:30 at night trying to find it. Turned out that all of the lights on the outside of the restaurant were out, and because of where it sits, it was almost impossible to spot while dark outside and no lights around it. I happened to spot it while at the stoplight looking around and saw the dining room lights inside. So I was already annoyed upon arrival, but that wasn't the employees faults. So then I pull into the to go parking spots, sign says if you order online just park and someone will come out. So I waited a bit, she came and went a few times taking other orders out, but never came to my car. So I call. I was paying with a gift card, and the website simply said "pay at restaurant" nothing more. The person who answered said that I had to come in to pay. I've got 3 small kids with me, one of which is a sleeping baby, you can't just come out and take the card? Apparently not. That should at least be specified on the website because I would not have brought my kids. Had to unload 3 kids just to walk in and walk right back out a minute later. No one offered to help while I struggled out the door with an infant seat, 2 toddlers and both hands full with my order. Then the cherry on top was when I got home with it, the food was cold, sides were missing, and my broccoli was so crunchy I'm convinced they didn't even bother to try and cook it. I just wanted to use up a gift card we were given and it turned into a terrible experience. If there is a next time, it absolutely won't be at...

So .... Im disappointed .... We went there for my daughters birthday last night 3/21/25 Friday. We were going to go to AppleBees But they said they dont sing for birthdays, I called here. They will. AppleBees doesnt have asparagus, They had them, we changed our mind and went to the 38th street location, spent $139.00 for no asparagus because they didnt hv any and they WOULD NOT sing for my daughter, our waitress came out with some ice cream and said happy birthday.....meanwhile, we heard them sing at 3 or 4 other tables.....I shouldve left after no asparagus, but we really wanted to sing happy birthday to her and the moment was just ruined. I hate I stayed. Also.....our waitress and food was very slow. And she kept reaching over ppls plates when handing us things, I asked her can she just pass it down or go behind us and we will get it that way, found out she was new, which explained the long service, so I understood and not gonna make that a big deal....lesson learned, if we are craving a certain item, call ahead to make sure its in, and go somewhere that actually cares about birthday shot outs and dont just pick and choose who they will sing for. Very upsetting TO BE TOLD NO ONE WILL SING WITH ME, I ASKED EVERYONE, THEN, 10 MINS LATER, HEAR THEM SINGING AT ANOTHER TABLE!!! Extremely disappointing.....seriously have to reconsider giving them my business again, wasnt worth the cost of the bill.....considering 3 of us had to eat other things because we lost our appetite because they didnt have what they said they have. Its fine.....I would like the feedback as to why ppl before and after us were sung to and no one would do our table, just gv her ice cream and said happy birthday.......Im sure no one will reach out......maybe will never...

If I could give a 0 rating I would!! My family and I are extremely disappointed with this establishment. We were a party of 4 and we sat in a section where there was one other table which was already eating but we could see that they needed refills. My party was sitting for 15-20 mins while no one came to greet us or get drink orders, mind you we had 2 adults and 2 kids. There was another table to come and sit behind us after our 20 mins of sitting there and not being greeted by ANYONE there!! A "server" came and got the first table's refills then greeted us and asked if we've been helped we said NO, she rolled her eyes as if that answer bothered her and said she was going to get a manager. Right after that which took less than 2 mins from the time the 3rd table sat down to our table being asked if we've been helped, a different server went to the 3rd and greeted them. My table is in shock that it took a lesser time for them to get greeted than us. While still waiting on the manager we decided to pack it up and leave. We were ready to order and NEVER got a chance to order food or even put in a drink order. The reason for going in the first place was due to my sons school for giving him coupons for a free kids meal. I feel as though the entire staff needs more training with their customer service and engaging with their guests, PAYING GUEST!!! We just didn't come for a free kids meal, it was a family outing which could not be enjoyed at Chili's. No one was attentive to our table.
