China King — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Large order online. ($97.43) no option to pay online. estimated completion 18:44. Gave extra time, pay instore at 18:55. Told: a couple mins. As I wait, several people come in and order, and then leave with their completed orders. I did not receive my order until 19:18--almost a full hour after ordered online and more than half an hour after paying (incidentally more time than the original estimate). They did not even start the order until I paid. I would be okay with that if they had made it clear. I was not offered anything for the wait. They were not excessively busy.

Now, food quality. The sesame beef and sesame noodles had no sesame oil or seeds--no sesame flavor at all. The beef was very dry and inedible--like 100 year old beef jerky. I do not even know how they accomplished this. The egg rolls were okay. The teriyaki chicken and dumplings were very good (which is why I'm not giving a 1). The shrimp curry had literally 3 shrimps. 😒 What's more--everything was more expensive than at my typical place, China King II on Keystone. I will not be coming back to this...

Alright I admit I was skeptical all the other places near by were closed and I have been looking for great soups in the area and they were open till 10pm while all the competition closed at 9pm.

I called and ordered a large wonton soup, large hot and sour soup and small egg drop soup.

I went to pick up for carryout they took my order at 9:30 no complaints and when. I arrived 10 min later it was ready to go.

End of the night order was made to perfection each one had such great flavor in every bite each broth and soup truly stood out on its own hot and fresh and delicious I can't wait to try more items from this place.

My food did not even make it to photos it was so good I had downed most of it all before I remembered to photo anything. The wonton soup full of wonton and broth, the hot and sour perfect and filled up so well. The egg drop soup fresh and cleary delicious.

I would definitely try this place if in the area I was very Impressed.

Wow, where to start... Average price with a run down interior. The odd smell in the interior coupled with the run down conditions should have been enough to turn me away. But as I was craving chicken and broccoli, I decided to give it a shot. HUGE mistake. The chicken and broccoli was absolutely disgusting! It tasted like rotten meat. I ate two bites and threw out the rest. I am concerned at this point for my well being as the egg roll tasted a little off, but I ate it because I was absolutely starving... Avoid this place at all costs. It is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten... Waste of...
