The staff here is great! They are always friendly and attentive no matter how busy they are. The staff is always apologetic if there is any wait for your food. The wait is not a problem for me because the food is always fresh. They keep the restaurant clean and well stocked with paper products and condiments. In my opinion they have the best fast-food menu out there. They gave burgers, chicken, and fish. I know others do to but the quality of food just seems superior to others. If you are a fan of root beer you’ll be happy to know that they also have their own Signature Root Beer. And… Don’t forget the custard and everything that can be made with it! (I have never been told that they do not have any or that the machine was broken)
I would give them 5 stars if it was not for the following problems at this location: ~ The easiest exit only rally allows you to go one direction (East) on 96th Street. ~ To go another direction (West on 96th or to the stores nearby) you need to drive through their parking lot and through the drive through line if they are busy. ~ They have a small drive through line so if they get busy (which does happen often) their line backs up through their parking lot and into the road leading into the stores in the area. ~ Because of the above information the parking lot and drive through can be dangerously congested when...
Read moreSecond bad experience at this Culver's location this weekend. Just went thru drive thru at this Culvers to get Sundaes (my wife had a birthday coupon, free one-scoop Sundae). We asked for one-scoop Sundae, with flavor-of-day, and two-scoop Sundae with same. Was never asked about toppings, etc. So we proceeded to the drive-thru window, presuming that there was a standard Sundae. Three females all working at the window, talking loudly to each other. One of which handed us cups of ice cream (not Sundaes) . The noise between the three was incredible. I finally had to yell: "will someone please listen to me." At which point I was able to ask: 1. For a receipt and 2. why these weren't Sundaes. One of them (Kalya S) stuck her head in the window, and said that they didn't put cherries on Sundaes unless the customer asked for them. I noted that this had not been my experience in the past, and I had most likely been coming to Culver's longer than she had been alive. And hmmm...I went to the Culvers.com website when I got home; every Sundae featured shows topping selections, and whipped cream/cherry. Looking at my receipt, it shows a one-scoop Sundae, and a two-scoop IC dish. Which is not what I ordered. I would suggest that the Culver's employees here spend less time talking to each other, and more time listening to the...
Read moreCulvers is a most wonderful place! Though food is prepared FAST, the quality is of a sit down restaurant. Was I want to think obsessively of me, myself and I, I would have a picture of the walleye filet ordered: it-was- perfection! Moist, flakey, inside with a perfectly crunchy coating outside! I doubt many restaurants would serve as wonderful a deep fried fish filet! (I would know as I've suffered thru many a bad fish meal....) Bonus: no matter the city, no matter what the location in one's own city, consistency is the key as all places are clean, staff is friendly, ice cream offerings are varied and fresh, and the meat and potatoes of Culvers, the basic menu, is ever wonderful and always as advertised. Whenever issues did arise, mistakes are quickly made right and the proper order returned with a smile. So, if you've had a hard day and seek some excellent food in a way to find comfort, get thee to Culvers! You won't be disappointed and you'll get your dollar's worth in service...
