Went there yesterday and was greeted by a sweet kind woman. Her name is Baljit she was the owner. She was amazing she answered all my questions, labeled my containers, went through my bill with me. I got the butter chicken, chicken masala, chicken pakora, samosas, garlic naan and the onion naan which is my favorite. The green sauce is so amazing and i wanted to kick myself for not taking her up on her offer to give me more. I also tried for the first time a Mango lassi and omg that Lassi through a lasso around my heart and pulled me in. That was the best thing I have drank in a very long time. Her husband was also awesome and was an amazing multitasker. I watched this man serve customers, pack up to go orders, and supply the buffet table with clean items for the next days buffet. He did with pride and happiness in his heart. Baljit and her husband make a great team and serve amazing food and i cannot wait to go back. Also the food was packed securely and there was no spillage as i traveled across town. This place deserves 10 stars. I cant wait to try more items off their menu. They have plenty to choose from and to fall in love with. Meat eaters and non meat eaters will find many options . Thanks again to Baljit and her husband their customer service is top notch💙 sorry no pics we was to busy eating and forgot...

If you order a liquid gravy while dining in and want to take it with you, they insist on making you use the styrofoam containers which invariably spill your food all over. The same gravy would be otherwise packed in a container when you order it as take out. Despite the fact that you pay the same amount, and gratuity, I've nearly always had to fight with the wait staff for the right kind of boxes. This kind of cheapness really leaves a bitter taste for me as a customer.
The location is gold and as a result this is a popular location among the folks from surrounding places - lunch buffet is crowded but you can go in around 1300 hrs and find seating easily enough. The menu is nice enough but they do lack consistency. I generally order a fixed set of things and the taste is definitely not the same every single time. At times it's delicious and absolutely rich in flavor while other times its ho-hum.
They do have coupons online so make sure you use those as well. The service sometimes is on the slower side and they do make a weird issue with to-go boxes from time to time (like giving you the styrofoam boxes to carry...
Read moreWhenever we are staying in a city for a few days, we seek out Indian restaurants, as they are reliable places to get excellent vegetarian food. Delhi Palace, in a strip mall on the west side of Indianapolis, near the medical complex, is a great representative. We had had a long day, driving from Chicago, checking in our hotel, and looking to get some good food. Delhi Palace was the place. We came a bit earlier than peak dining time, as there was only one other table occupied. They seemed to be regulars though, by the interactions between them and the owner/manager. We had two veg curries, pakora, naan, and mango lassi. My partner raved about the mango lassi, her favorite treat. We asked for the "heat" between mild and medium, and the chef nailed it perfectly. Mild can be too bland, medium is too hot for her, adn we both appreciated how they hit exactly the right note. Having been to so many Indian restaurants over 40+ years, we note how little touches indicate a family recipe handed down--at Delhi Palace it cashews in the Dal Makhani and sultanas in the Malai Kofta. All around excellent! Service was atttentive without being overbearing, and the food...
