Finding a good doughnut spot can sometimes feel like searching for a needle in a haystack, so when I stumbled upon this little gem, I was cautiously optimistic. My go-to choices were the cookies & cream and strawberry cheesecake doughnuts, flavors that promised a comforting hug to my taste buds amid the vast sea of options.
The cookies & cream doughnut was a solid attempt at capturing the essence of this beloved dessert. It wasn't the showstopper I had dreamed of, but it did deliver a satisfying crunch against the softness of the dough, a contrast that I found pleasantly surprising. The cream part was there, not overwhelmingly rich but enough to remind you of what you were eating. It's the kind of doughnut that grows on you with each bite, settling into a comfortable "good" rather than an unforgettable culinary journey.
As for the strawberry cheesecake doughnut, it was a similar story. The balance between the sweetness of the strawberry and the tanginess of the cheesecake component was commendable, though it didn't quite hit the high note I was expecting. The doughnut itself was soft, a feature I always appreciate, and the flavor was good—enough to make me nod in approval but not enough to evoke the feeling of indulging in an actual slice of cheesecake.
I'll be honest, there were a few mix-ups with my order along the way, which did take a bit of the shine off the experience. However, looking at the bigger picture, the doughnuts here are decent. They're soft, they're freshly made, and they have that homemade touch that's hard to find. In a world of over-the-top, sugar-laden concoctions, these doughnuts strike a middle ground, offering a pleasant, if not earth-shattering, experience. So, would I come back? Yes, for those days when I'm looking for something sweet that's comfortably familiar and reliably good. Sometimes, "okayish good" is exactly...
Read moreTLDR: 4$ overly sweet doughnuts with gross icing and iced lattes with very little flavor. Also no AC, it was 105 outside and the inside was barely any better.
The photos and the reviews had me so excited to try this place, and I can't believe how bad it turned out. I'll start with the iced matcha latte. It tasted like they only put 1 tablespoon of matcha in there. Very little matcha flavor. The iced latte wasn't bad, again just very little of the maple brown sugar flavor. The doughnuts were the most disappointing. The fruit doughnut is covered in cream cheese icing that overpowered everything and didn't even taste good. I thought it was a whipped cream or custard since that's typically what's on fruit tarts. The turtle cheesecake was okay but had the same problem, the cream cheese icing overpowered all the other flavors, and the whole doughnut was too sweet. The peanut butter chocolate doughnut was the best. The sweet dough, rolled in sugar and then topped with reeses peanut butter with chocolate, was yummy but so sweet that two bites had me...
Read moreI had been eyeing this place for quiet some time. I decided to stop by on yesterday and grab my pregnant co-worker some vegan doughnuts. I purchased 6 vegan doughnuts in different flavors. Once I got to work and presented her with the doughnuts she and I both were excited and when she opened the box I was immediately embarrassed! They looked like a cross between a hocky puck and dense biscuit. These were hard and cold. The frosting looked like it had been placed on seconds before putting them in the box. Colors running everywhere. These were literally uneatable. We could not break them apart with our fingers or with a fork. I was embarrassed and disappointed. I spent 25$ and we threw the entire box away. I thought how could this over mixed, over cooked, hard, cold, brick be served? It’s so unfortunate because I love doughnuts all types (vegan and regular) and will not be back and will not...
