On 1/11, I placed an order for a pizza and other items through the Dominos app for delivery. In the checkout section, I selected for the order to be left at my door and even so much as left a note for it to be left on my door mat. I also tipped over 30% at $12 because my street wasn’t plowed so I was trying to be nice. When the order arrived they rang the door bell. I waited a couple minutes so that the delivery driver would be gone so I can grab my order. Then they rang the door bell again. I opened the door and he opens the bag for me to grab my own food out of the bag and the sauces fall out. I grab my sauces as my dogs are behind me at the door barking (hence selecting the option for the food to be dropped off) then told the man that I had said ti leave the food at the door and then shut the door for him to do so. Once I open the door back up, I see that they forgot my actual PIZZA. I yell out to the man who is getting in his car across the street and said he forgot my pizza. Fist he had the audacity to question if I’m sure that I ordered one. Yes, I’m sure. I wait outside and he must have called the store. He yells back and said he’s going back to get it and bring it back which is fine, the store is only 7mins away. One hour later, still no pizza. I call the store. Someone answers the phone, hard to understand them as they are mumbling, and says something about they’ll check and then places me on mute. I wait 15mins and no one comes back so I hang up and call back. At this point, it has been 75mins since my original incomplete delivery. I tell them this time I really need an answer and so this time he says he will ask the manager. He comes back and says they never made the pizza and so they aren’t going to deliver it. I told him it needs to be refunded then and he says okay and hangs up. I still have not received a refund and I am beyond irritated. The driver does not deserve a $12 tip. The store needs to refund me AND THEN SOME. And why did the driver or someone else at the store not call me back from the jump to let me know they weren’t planning to make and deliver my pizza. I shouldn’t have had to call and track them down. This store needs a harsh lesson in customer service. Would not recommend you spend your money at this location. Terrible experience from start to finish and so much...
Read moreNot sure why this place has such bad reviews, I’ve ordered it a few times now (I’m pretty picky too, it’s hard to impress me) but the food has been super accurate, never forgets even a single topping, it’s still been too hot to eat when it gets here it’s so fresh, and it’s SO good even my boyfriend and I who don’t usually like leftovers will eat pizza for a couple days after ordering. 11/10 would recommend.
UPDATE: I googled domino’s last night to place an order and saw what’s usually a good store had horrible reviews so before I placed my order, I stopped and wrote a good review and proceeded to go to their website and order. I got my pizza, everything looked perfect and was still warm, but I started eating it and thought it tasted really weird. I’ve gotten this same exact pizza before and it’s been amazing every time, but this time it almost tasted like something on it was bad or expired? I can’t place it, but I’m pregnant and cannot take the chance of eating anything bad so I didn’t. The chicken and bread I ordered also tasted bad, everything I ordered had cheese and bacon on it so I’m not sure if one of those was expired but I was super disappointed. I also thought it could be me tasting it differently since I am pregnant, so I waited for my boyfriend to get home (not very long after) from work and he reheated and ate some of his pizza like he’s done many times. Which also had cheese and bacon and he said the same thing. It was late and the store was closed by the time he had confirmed it wasn’t good to him either, so I called the store today to let them know. The employee I spoke to (as nicely as I could since I know it wasn’t their fault) was so dismissive and irritated I felt like such a nuisance for even calling. He offered a redelivery, but it didn’t sound appetizing at all this time after what I ate last night. I expressed this to him, and he offered $20 credit to my account (my order was almost $50 without tip), basically just throwing random compensation offers at me to get me to settle and hang up. All I really wanted was a refund and some kind of concern shown that they could’ve possibly been serving bad or expired food. It really worried me. I went ahead and contacted customer support but I couldn’t leave up a good review with a clear conscience. My apologies. Hope it gets...
Read moreOrdered a pizza for delivery at 3:37pm. Estimated delivery time was 18-29 minutes. Cool. 60+ minutes later at 4:45pm I called to ask about the status, since the tracker showed it had been in quality control for 35 minutes. Didn’t care if they had to remake it, just wanted to know when we’d hope to get it. I was told it was literally going out the door with a driver just then. (The store is 6 minutes away) ok! Great! Thanks! 40 minutes later we call again. Sit on hold for 10 minutes. Disconnect. Call again. Get told it is going out the door again….. we are now 2 hours (TWO HOURS) of waiting for a pizza at what WAS off-peak time originally. At this point get put on hold for a manager to get a refund.
Funny though the order was indeed out for delivery finally. It arrives stone cold. Not a hint of warmth. Is dropped on the doorstep with no knock or doorbell. The only way I knew was that the ring doorbell is set up to notify. I had the pizza in my hands 30 seconds after it was placed. What was supposed to happen?!?! In the meantime have spent 15 minutes on hold for manager for a refund and now driving in sick to the store to get a refund in person and give what is now inedible and likely dangerous food back.
Manager has left the store. Employee questions the desire for a refund saying “it was only $26…”
Suggestions: Don’t accept delivery orders if you don’t have drivers. if someone asks for an ETA on an overdue order, do NOT tell them it is going out the door when it isn’t. It robs them of the chance to make the choice what to do. If you have a 1hr45min old pizza sitting there, REMAKE IT. Do not send it out. Or better yet do not make an order until there is a remote chance it can...
