Atmosphere is wonderful but food was not the greatest. We got vietnamese coffee and vietnamese sandwiches (banh mi). We know it was just a soft opening but no veggies in two of our four sandwiches. The meat didn't taste fresh, and the bread did not taste fresh either, or like an authentic vietnamese version of french bread but more like a baguette. The pickled daikon and carrots were not done right on the one of the sandwich they remembered to give us veggies for, and they didn't give enough. A piece of cilantro, etc. They gave about 1/3 of a the veggies you normally get for a full sandwich. The veggies are a big part of what makes a vietnamese sandwich so that was miss. I would described the sandwiches as a modern version and twist on vietnamesw. Vietnamese coffee tastes like water down ice coffee.
On the flip side, the amount of meat on the sandwiches were proportionate to the thick bread.
We will give this place a try when they make the rest of their menu available, such as pho.
We should also mention that my caucasian friend ate the grilled pork sandwich and said he would get it again if he was in the area, so that is good! But he didn't care of the vietnamese coffee either.
Updated review....we have tried this place for the 2nd time and updated this rating as of 7/12/24
This time we tried several drinks, banh mi and their pho We would recommend the drinks, the vietnamese coffee is still taste a bit watered down; however their lime made was good and we would definitely recommend that, as well as their fruit drinks.
The pho broth was good and the amount of meat was proportionate. They give you a variety of beef, all very good except the meatball does taste like a lot of fillers and the flank steak was chewy, all of the other meat was delicious!!
They did provide more veggies with their banh mi sandwiches which made the banh mi more acceptable but still overall missing authenticity.
Overall, we would come back for their pho and...
Read moreThis past weekend my family went out to Carmel for a soccer tournament, and we accidentally stumbled onto Hanna’s Banh Mi & Bakery Café. At first we were just trying to check out the Saraga market, but man… this spot blew me away.
I’m from Columbus, Ohio—and let me just say this straight up: we do not have a great representation of Vietnamese food. We’ve got pho spots we go to out of convenience, but nothing to ever praise. The pho in Cbus? It’s like eating a plain hamburger. It fills you up, but there’s nothing memorable, nothing that makes you crave it again. Shame, shame, shame.
I’ve had pho in Houston, Vegas, Cali—you name it. Usually good, but Columbus? Meh. After my first sip of Hanna’s pho though… I knew this was different. No watered-down broth, no recycled flavor. Just rich, clean, bold taste that hit immediately. It was like biting into a perfectly cooked steak—no need for sriracha, hoisin, or fish sauce. Just straight quality.
And don’t even get me started on the Banh Mi. Columbus places don’t even come close. Hanna’s was on point from the bread, the soht mayo, the pate—everything blew me away. I got the Hanoi Special, and even grabbed two Dac Biet to go. Absolute fire 🔥
Listen, I don’t know if I just got lucky with the chef that day, because a lot of Asian spots get inconsistent after they open—they cut corners, they cheapen the broth, they lose quality. But Hanna’s? Hands down a 5-star experience. I would seriously drive 3 hours from Cbus just to eat here again....

I highly suggest you always stop in at a place to have your own ( experience ). This is just my own personal experience for anyone interested in seeing it or for owner / employee feedback.
Rating : 3.5/5 Review : We stopped in here on Valentine’s Day of 2025 ( we were just happy to be eating in somewhere as we hadn’t made reservations anywhere ), we are huge pho lovers and thought we’d try a new place. Your first impression of the cafe is that it’s super cozy and cute. We were a little surprised by the ordering at the counter first but the waitress behind the counter was very helpful. The menu did not have prices listed and we did end up paying about $65 for our entire meal. We got two bowls of pho, two spring rolls, and a banh mí. The bowls of pho were un-enjoyable for us personally, the broth was very oily and lacked flavor and some of the veggies in it were questionable. The chicken pho that we had , we ended up having to pick most of the chicken out as it was very chewy. That being said, the banh mí was probably one of the bests that I’ve ever had. It was a pretty descent size and the flavors and veggies were all very fresh and delicious. I would return for the banh mí alone! Some of the service from staff could have been slightly better but overall I truly suggest that you stop in and have your...
