The Free Spirit — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Very pleasantly surprised tonight! Went to the Free Spirit to see our friend but she was not working. Almost left but decided to stay and I have to say, we did not regret it! Perfectly made martinis. $.50 wings on Thursday nights, ordered 6 just to try and they were fantastic! (Singapore flavored with a side of xxx hot sauce) the menu is quite large and I had no idea what i wanted so I asked the bartender what, hands down, was his favorite thing on the menu, he said the meaty mac and cheese, so I ordered it and it was damn good! think smoked pulled pork in mac and cheese. The breaded tenderloin was as good just about any place in town. (did I mention that their food is stoooopid cheap?) And, the place was clean and even the karaoke was not all that bad, kind of entertaining actually. (it is such a large place, the karaoke is not blaring in your ears and one can still have a conversation) All in all it was surprisingly great! I would tell anyone to...

Racist bar I came in here for n my lunch break I guess there was some type of function goin on so it was kinda busy which I understand but what pissed me off is that I sat at the bar waiting to be served and the bar server never acknowledged but I watched his ass serve all the others who had literally just walked up to the bar so I had to yell like helloooo may I please order some food all for him to be rude as hell to me then he finally took my order but was basically rushing me would not let me finish my sentences I ordered anyway because I had already driven way over here from work plus I like their wings because I had been here before for my cousins birthday but one thing for sure two things for certain is that I’ll never be back because I got a racial vibe being that I was the only person of color in here at that moment and because he just wouldn’t acknowledge me at all..I will make sure myself family and friends never return...

The bartenders are particularly standoffish. The food absolutely awful.. the chicken on the chicken nachos tasted like it was poured out of the can absolutely no flavor whatsoever to the nachos. The bacon that was on my barbecue booger whatever was absolutely as hard as a rock it may have been from 2 or 3 days ago. I felt like an order to get a drink or any service I had to make some type of special contact with the bartender. Customer service these days is just stupid!!!!. The Bloody Mary that I had was like a three out of five stars not much effort whatsoever put into that the main thing is to get back to your phone and see what's going on there.. I don't know who is working in the kitchen but .....STOP!!!!!.. don't let the photos fool you they were much much better than the food.. and honestly my own fault I went back a second time and the bartenders or even more standoffish and more rude. Totally dead bar probably won't be...
