This place is definitely popular, and I can see why their vada pav really reminded me of the ones I had in Mumbai, and that was the highlight for me. However, the other items we tried didn’t quite live up to expectations. The Hakka noodles were good, but the Schezwan noodles weren’t as impressive. The Manchurian gravy had great flavor, but the Manchurian balls themselves were a bit hard inside. Overall, I’d say the vada pav is worth going for, but the rest of the menu could use some improvement.

Finally, authentic Indian street food in Indy! The flavors are spot on from the vada pav and Garlic Chili Bhakhari Pizza to the Indo Chinese dishes and Jamun Shots everything tastes just like back home. The place is clean, service is quick, and portions are generous. Perfect for a casual bite or to satisfy street-food cravings. Highly recommend the JB Special Butter Vada Pav, Makhniya Lassi and Pav Bhaji! Will definitely be back

Jai Bhavani is famous for its Vada Pav and this location does not disappoint! I ordered two Butter Vada Pav and Cold Coffee. The Vada Pav had just the perfect spicy taste I was hoping for! Definitely must visit if you are looking for great vegetarian Indian food options near Castleton area.

Drove 40 minutes thinking I was in for a treat. Oh boy — was I wrong.

After one hour of waiting in the lobby, I didn’t get a single “sorry” from the lady at the counter or the server. Instead, I was told “Don’t you see how busy we are?” as they tried to justify a one-hour wait time for just two vada pav.

The lady at the counter was even worse — absolutely no customer service skills.

I spent about $37 on food plus $4 and change on tip. After an hour of waiting with no food, I finally asked for a refund. I got my money back for the food, but they refused to refund the tip.

Greedy and rude customer practices at this establishment.

As a restaurant owner myself, I would never treat a paying customer like this. They need major improvement in both operations and customer service. It’s sad to see owners not holding their staff accountable after investing their life savings into a business.

I wish them good luck — but I won’t...

Extremely Disappointing – Would Give 0 Stars If I Could. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place deserves a serious warning.

On my first visit, I ordered the cheese vada pav, and it was stone cold. Not even lukewarm — just straight out of the fridge cold. That already raised red flags, but I decided to give them another shot. Big mistake.

During my second visit, I ordered the Manchurian noodles, and it was honestly inedible. The so-called Manchurian balls were rock hard — either frozen for too long or barely cooked and served it without a second thought. It was not just bad — it was borderline unsafe to eat.

There’s zero care for food quality or customer experience here. This place is just not worth your money or time. With so many great options for Indian food around, I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place...

I had an amazing experience at Jai Bhawani Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly reminded me of authentic Indian home-style cooking. Every dish was prepared with the right balance of spices, and the portions were generous.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the dining experience even better. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere, perfect for both family meals and casual dining.

I especially recommend trying their [insert your favorite dish if you’d like, vada pav pav bhaji, — it was absolutely delicious!

Definitely one of the best spots for Indian food in the area. I’ll be coming back...
