This is not a typical review, but it is a scathing one. As a frequent ALDI shopper, I stopped by this store to pick up a few things, and had to urgently run to the bathroom before I started shopping. To my horror, after I was finished with my business, there was nothing but a bare roll where toilet paper should have been. The bathroom is set up very strangely - there's a room with stalls, but there is only one single stall, so there was no way for me to ask a neighbor for help in an adjective stall. I sat in this bathroom for almost 45 minutes waiting for someone to come by. During this time, I heard multiple people enter the bathroom and ignore my pleas for help - I do not know whether these were customers or employees. I was not shy about it, either - shouting "Hello?", "Hey you! Can you help?", and "I need toilet paper!" all to simply be ignored. I persevered in not resorting to using my socks to clean my behind, obviously having too much faith in civilization. Attempts to call the store were futile, because ALDI does not post numbers for their stores. With my phone dying and no one coming to my aid, I reached out to friends to try to find a solution as a last-ditch effort. One apparently found the corporate number for ALDI and was able to speak to a human, who attempted to reach out to this store directly. Apparently, the store was unresponsive. Only when a friend had the idea to call a nearby business to come assist did I actually get any toilet paper. A heroine from Another Broken Egg next door came to my aid. The few ALDI employees staffing the store were busy, but luckily the heroine found a new roll of toilet paper that was set aside likely waiting to be restocked and delivered it to me. Finally freed, I don't know if these ALDI employees are even aware this took place, so I have received no apology or reconciliation. What was supposed to be a quick trip turned into an hour-long debacle. I am convinced that if I was an old lady who fell, I would have been left to die in this ALDI bathroom. In conclusion, shop at this ALDI at your own risk, because no employees at this location will be coming to save you from whatever unfortunate situation you find...
Read moreI just experienced the WORST customer service ever!!!!!
Another customer and I entered the store at 7:57 pm today. The store closes at 8 pm. The door was already closed, (again, it was only 7:55 pm when they closed it), so we entered when someone else exited. It was three minutes before the store officially closed.
When the other customer and I walked in, the cashier yelled at ME only, even though the other customer was right behind me. I had to get one item. As I was walking to get it, she yelled at me saying, "Ma'am, we're closed!!!!!!" I said that it's not even 8 yet. Then shouting at this point, "I'm not checking you out!!!!!" She said that she's not going to ring me up.
Meanwhile, there were other people in line, one ahead of me. I got in line and the guy who entered with me was right behind me.
She started yelling at me very loud, at full volume, that she's not ringing me up. They're closed. That I'M holding them up from closing. Again, there were people in line after me. I kept saying that I was in the store BEFORE 8. The more I spoke, the louder she got! Saying it is now 8:01 pm. It was a literal shouting match at this point. I asked her why she's only yelling at me when there were other people in line. The guy behind me stepped in and stood up for me.
There was another worker making wisecracks against me saying, "all that over eggs?"
She continued to yell at me during and after the transaction. I didn't even get a receipt. I just wanted to get out of there.
The customer behind me spoke to the other worker to ask for her manager. He said that she is the manager. Which is hard to believe given how unprofessional and ghetto she behaved.
That other customer and I stood in the parking lot talking about the incident.
He said that she didn't say a word to him probably because he was a white man.
I was in the parking lot, only to discover that a man was in the store 15-20 minutes after I was just berated for coming in 3 minutes before closing. Nothing was said to him either.
I feel that I was targeted.
She was an African American woman. Very loud and unprofessional.
Usually, everyone is very friendly at this store.
I'm escalating this...
Read moreAldi’s is an excellent place to shop with good prices and great Whole Foods. I went there today which was 4/21/22. I picked up some groceries and a couple of other products. Got to the checkout line at 10:56 A.M. The cashier at the checkout line was very amazing. They’re accurate and fast. I had a problem with my card and the cashier was patient enough to help me and walk me through it. There were 3 people in line and the cashier didn’t get angry about helping me. A lot of companies don’t understand Customers Service can go a long way, it actually can make or break your business/company these days. The pandemic ruined a lot of Customers Service. “So” I just want to say I appreciate the cashier quality customer service, it actually made my morning and I can tell others to shop at Aldi’s. On the receipt the cashier’s name is Hannah. Give that young...
