Horrible experience. We arrived at around 9pm on a Saturday, with one person already waiting to be served. Store was empty aside from him and the four of my group that walked in. We sat and were deciding what to order, and when we finally did, stood in front to have our orders taken for 10 minutes. Employees just stared at us and ignored us. It seemed they were making a to-go order for someone (which I believe came in to pick it up and stood at the register without being helped as well), while there were maybe 3-4 people waiting to get their orders in. My group got increasingly frustrated, which reached a breaking point when one of our group eventually yelled to them what he wanted, to which the employee rolled her eyes and started making it. The other employee approached her and asked "are you helping those people out there?" to which the other employee nodded, which resulted in a laugh from the other. Not to mention, they were making the other ice cream orders without gloves on, sleeves rolled down, and long nails. I would not have felt safe eating food prepared like that. Our group ended up leaving without ordering, except for the one of us that shouted his order at them. The two employees watched as we exited, and of course, laughed. I will never return to this location and I hope nobody else does until something gets done. I'm not sure what Cold Stone's policy is on wearing food-safe gloves, but at the very least, please roll up...
Read moreThe older, asian woman who was working the counter was rude. Acted as though we were inconveniencing her day. It has been years since we've been to cold stone so we took a minute to look at the menu. There wasnt anyone else in the store, it wasnt close to closing, and she was huffing and kept asking if we were ready yet. Usually places offer to answer any menu questions. We were obviously getting our ice cream to go, no lid was offered. Apparently that was a hassle. My mom asked for the peanut butter on the side and this lady seriously said "no I'm just gonna put it on top" after my mom had to insist she didnt want it that way huffed and went to grab the world's smallest plastic cup from the back. Looked like the little things you put ketchup in at fast food restaurants. Barely pushed the pump on the peanut butter wrapped it in plastic wrap and basically threw it onto the counter.i didnt realize a condiment on the side was SUCH an issue. We got our receipt she made sure to get a pen and point out the tip option. As if that was deserved! I dont know what her problem was but if customers are treated this way she doesnt need to be working there. Our ice cream quickly...
Read moreWhile I genuinely enjoy this ice cream brand overall, my experience at this particular location was disappointing due to poor customer service. Specifically, one young lady stood out for her unprofessional behavior. She was slender in build and wore her hair in a puff during my visit. Unfortunately, her attitude was unpleasant—not only in how she interacted with me, but also in how she spoke to her colleague, which came across as rude and disrespectful.
She also got my order wrong, and I didn’t realize it until I got home. It was clear that she wasn’t fully engaged, possibly due to not wanting to be at work or interact with customers. While I understand that everyone can have an off day, basic courtesy and a simple smile can make a big difference in customer experience.
My intention isn’t to shame this employee but to bring awareness to what I observed. I truly hope the management considers additional training or support for the staff. I would love to continue supporting this location and hope for a more positive experience...
