It's a mom & pop shop, so that is good or bad depending on your bent. Things like mismatched tables or handwritten specials are going to be par for the course here. That either bugs you or it doesn't.
That said, the chips and salsa they bring at the beginning are very good, especially the salsa; fresh made, not too mild, not too hot. My wife asked for "a lot more" after we polished off the first bowl, and they brought us a larger bowl for us to enjoy.
The beans are meh, but the rice is very good. No fountain sodas so everything is in a can (no free refills). They have fountain drinks of horchata, jamaica, and tamarind. The service is very good.
A couple of gotchas: it's not apparent if you should seat yourself or order from the counter first. This is a seat yourself place. While the service is good, bussing tables is not their strong suit, so some tables need to be wiped again before...

This spot is popular with my Mexican friends, so I had rather elevated expectations. I was disappointed. None of the food stood out as "good," even. The best I can say about it is that it was mediocre. While that's disappointing enough on its own, the prices are WAY higher than I expected. I went in at the slow time, and, during the time I waited for my food, I was able to clean* the whole dining room (*my background is in hospitality, and there were only two employees in the shop. Came and ordered tacos because online and on their menu it said they were $3.60. I asked the lady at the register four times before she swiped my card. How much the total was she acted like she didn’t hear what I said as she looked me in my face and swiped my card anyway. Turns out the tacos were $4.75 each. I don’t have a problem with the price so the transparency. She knew what she was doing and was very rude telling me she already swiped the card after I asked her four times to make sure the price was OK with me the customer.
