Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Horrific! Walked in after a movie. Two guys with terrible attitudes took our order. Once we paid we were told the food would take longer than normal because of our french fry order. The guy started cutting potatoes on the slicer. He banged and slammed the slicer very loud like a hammer. He came back to the counter and said "We close at 8pm!!!" The young lady who took my payment was dry and rude and shoved my lemonade at me. I asked for my girlfriends drink, she said we only ordered one. I said "No problem", & paid for another beverage. Once we had our food practically thrown at us, the young lady swept with a broom and dust pan right in front of our table, while the two guys glared at us the entire time. The food wasn't the quality I am used to. I paid extra for sausage I didn't get. Once we had finished the young lady dropped the dust pan right in front of our table and asked to take our trays in a nasty tone. We did arrive a few minutes before close. They should have simply said "We close soon & we don't want to serve anyone else", vs. treating us so terribly and exposing our food to rubbish from sweeping while we ate. I will never go back. I rate this store leas than one star. The employees have torn and ripped uniforms and unkept hair. The entire experience was unbelievable for the 30+ dollars spent. Never heard the words thank you. I’m currently in the store. I walked in and looked at the menu on the wall. Someone yelled “I can hep you down here.” I start to walk down to the end and I hear “Or not”. I’m short and the counters are high so maybe she couldn’t see me coming. I dunno but kinda rude. Then she takes my order and hands me my lemonade. She tells me my order will be up. I turn to get a straw and she says “Here’s your receipt” but before I could turn around she says it again “or not”. I found out this was the Assistant GM named Jodi. Really, Jody?!? Setting the standards with leadership??? Let’s work on friendliness… The other ladies were...

They said they were too busy to take my order up front and need to go to the cashier to order. I waited 8 minutes to get to the cashier then, after I paid it took another 4 minutes for the cooks to rattle off my oder to start cooking it. That is a total of 12 minutes they could have been cooking my order! 8 of that they could have been cooking while I paid! This the exact opposite of what they should do when they are busy! Then, because they create such a back log, good luck finding a table! If they were not busy, then send them to the cashier to take the order... no wait anyway. How backwards...
