I love The Garage and I try to eat at a different place every time I go. I was so excited to see they have this new sushi place, Rolli! First of all I totally love the branding of this place. The logo is so adorable and the box they packed the sushi in was so cute and colorful, and super functional with the little compartments for the soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger.
I tried a combo which came with two rolls and a side. I got the seaweed salad and two different rolls, the Seoulful Kick and the Mango Tango. I had never tried mango on a sushi roll before and was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. I usually get a spicy tuna roll when I get sushi so I chose the Seoulful Kick and I was so glad I did. It was the perfect amount of spicy and so flavorful.
My boyfriend does not eat sushi so I’m excited to have a place we can come when I want sushi and he can choose something else. I think this is a perfect solution for instances like that. This may have ended my want to try other things at The Garage because I will always want to...
Read moreWe read the reviews both the good ones and bad ones. Honestly we saw the bad ones and we gave it a chance because the store followed up with the bad reviews and seemed sincere with what they could improve upon. However after giving it a chance, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The negative reviews and details they gave were correct. Rice is gummy, avocado is really like guacamole. Honestly the rolls are just a mess and it likely is due to the rolls are basically made with a machine. It seems innovative to use a machine but wrong choice. Stick with what works in sushi making for generations.
I hate to say it because we don’t give bad reviews ever but Rolli is not up to the quality that I would expect at Bottleworks and there are many many sushi spots in Indy much much better than this one. Sorry, but the rolls just aren’t very good...
Read moreI almost never leave reviews, but this is so bad, I have to. This is the most bland food I've ever eaten in my life. Even with spicy oil (which I was upcharged for) and "Sichuan Kewpie mayo" it has literally no flavor. It might as well be water flavored. Also, when I didn't leave a tip (even though it's fast food), the employees gave each other a look and also kind of looked at me funny, which made me so uncomfortable that I decided to leave them a cash tip and let them know I was doing so. They were very polite to me after that, but still forgot the spicy oil and gave me a fork instead of chopsticks. Anyway, I spent $22 on this crap and it's barely edible after we went back and got soy sauce to add to it. Hands down, one of the worst meals I've ever gotten from a restaurant. I would highly recommend you choose one of the other options...
