Never thought I’d have to leave a review like this, but here goes. A small group of us came in for brunch. The food was good, the service was ok (the server brought over balloons for my MIL’s birthday, but she wasn’t very attentive in general. We were there for almost two hours, and not because we were just hanging around). But the reason I’m leaving this two-star review is because there were people in the private upstairs area literally having an X-rated photo shoot!!!! During brunch, my mom looked up and was shocked to see a woman doing a pole dance photo shoot. Like with an actual pole. At first we were like, ok well she’s in a dress, so it’s kinda odd given the location, but whatever. Seemed more artsy than sexual. But then it all went downhill from there. Suddenly, two women, in literal strappy lingerie showed up and started BENDING OVER AND SPANKING EACH OTHER. WITH A PADDLE. during the photo shoot. I wish I was kidding, or even just being dramatic, but this actually happened. And listen. I’m all about doing what makes you happy. I’m not judging the women at all. But what I am judging is this restaurant for allowing this. I’m sorry, but when I am attending Sunday brunch to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday, the last thing I want to see is two (almost naked) people spanking each other. It was so bizarre and sooooo inappropriate!!! And sure, they were up in the private area, but the private area is not private because it’s like hidden or whatever, it’s private because it’s meant for group events!! It’s wide out in the open where everyone can see!!!! It’s not like they had curtains or windows and we were only getting glimpses and couldn’t really see much. The area is a literal balcony!!!! I was shocked. It was truly so weird and inappropriate. How can the restaurant staff allow this??? If you’re going to allow adult-themed photo shoots in your restaurant, that’s fine!! Good for you!! But don’t do it when there are people there!!! There was a family while we were there and they had a child with them. And maybe that family didn’t care, so it’s really none of my business. But I’m sure there are other families/people who would not be ok with that. Like. What the actual f??? I literally can’t even believe that happened. And again, I want to stress, I do not care that those women were participating in that photo shoot. That is not the problem at all. The problem is that the restaurant was ok with it happening during business hours while people were dining. Like. Hello??? Save the sexy photo shoots until you close. Or do them before you open. SO. WEIRD. When we left they were still up there taking pictures, who knows what happened after we left. The whole thing was just very bizarre. It didn’t ruin our day or anything, but like. It was so uncomfortable!!! Like a car crash. You can’t look away! Luckily we are all pretty easy going people, and were able to find some humor in it, but jesus. I don’t want to see that at brunch. Unless it was a nudey-spank brunch! Then it’s fine!! But I didn’t see that advertised anywhere. Lolol.

TLDR; the food was good, service was meh, and there was an adult photoshoot happening on...

The food was AMAZING! Which is why we’ll come back, but it was probably hands down the worst service I have ever gotten! I was really excited about this place and I’m so disappointed with our experience. As someone who works in the industry I’m pretty understanding. The host hardly smile and seemed far from welcoming. He sat us at a high top table while we had a 4 yr old with us. She fell off her chair trying to get down twice. Our server Sarah had the worst attitude. We sat for about 15 minutes before even being greeted. It was a sloppy and rushed getting dropping 4 glasses of water at our table. Again full glass of water for a 4yr old. Was not trying to be accommodating in the slightest! Took very long for our beers to be delivered. She seemed too busy to even let me finish speaking at multiple points as i requesting something. My boyfriend sat with an empty beer for majority of our time there. She was so rushed pouring our water at our table that she poured water on to our table..no apologies or nothing just walked away. She was very rude. Dropped my plate in front of me. After getting our food I had to walk around looking for silverware because we had none. I had tried asking for some salsa or hot sauce for my Grouper Bowl and she said there was no salsa (salsa verde was advertised in the menu with the tacos) so she brought me some chipotle chulula which i guess was alright.. again the food was...

First off I have always enjoyed this place, please know this!! However, unlike Ice Cube, today was not a good day. Showed up with a small group of friends one more than the Breakfast Club, including a former Notre Dame basketball player to remain unnamed. We ordered our drinks immediatly at the bar, as we coulf not be seated right away. Cool St.Joes!! We love thriving businesses especially a brewery!! So, drinks at the bar while we waited for a table…We were told the table was ready in 30 min. We were seated under the time they told us! Rock on!!! That’s a win. The host asked us if we were there for food or drinks we told him food AND drinks. We paid out tab and went to our table. This is where things went to warmer side of the after life. We had ordered nachos (from the bar). Let me do a service of those who may order for a larger group, there were nine of them. We were staring at one another like a soccer team in the Andes. They lasted 72 days we lasted 27 minutes. We never had a server come to the table. We asked two separate people (different employees) about serving us. The response was not good St.Joes.. not good at all!!! Both offers no apology only excuses. This is my confession. I’m hoping for a...

Great food! I’ve been back several times and never disappointed with my main course. The drink selections are pretty good too, and my husband was happy to have several options he had never tried before. Parking available along street or if you get there early enough they do have some spaces on south side of building along alley. Valet parking also available but I cannot comment on that as I have never used the valet here. A few times I’ve come in with a large party (8-15 people) and the food does take awhile to arrive and it doesn’t come at same time, so you have to sit and let your food get cold until the rest of your party gets their food. Also, a handful of times I’ve visited and the waitress or sometimes even the hostess has been a little rude or curt when I asked them questions. However, my last visit we had an amazing waitress who was able to make drink and food suggestions and that was very much appreciated. (Wish I would have written down her name as I would definitely ask to be seated in her section again!) All in all, great location and atmosphere. Good food. Great spot to bring out of town visitors who want something different or unique!

Yesterday was the first time I've visited St. Joseph Brewery. Really liked the ambiance and character of the inside of the brewery. It is a church that has been rejuvenated and is now a restaurant/brewery. Many of the original church features are still present. The general manager was very friendly and our waiter, Tom, was great! They have a nice wine list and a good assortment of beers. Our appetizer, Klause's German Sausage plate came with 3 different German sausages, German potato salad and sauerkraut. The sausage was delicious and the German potato salad was great! For the entree, I chose salmon with spinach, diced carrots and diced red potatoes with a sauce. The carrots were a bit under cooked and the dish didn't have much flavor. For dessert, I ordered bread pudding which comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This was the most disappointing part of the meal. The bread pudding was very dry and had a hard crust. I would not recommend the bread pudding! The pictures show the appetizer, entree, and dessert. I would definitely visit again, buy I would make different selections.

This place was fantastic!! First off, what a cool setting. A brewery in an old former church. Very cool. The place is very pretty inside and very clean. Service was spectacular. Our server's name was Star, and she was super helpful. Explained several things to us, answered questions, offered suggestions, and was very friendly. We started our lunch off with a great classic bloody mary. The appetizer we ordered was some portobello fries with a horseradish ranch sauce and pickled grapes. Outstanding! I ordered the open faced bison meatloaf with some great mashed potatoes and gravy, along with a fried egg on top, and all of this on top of texas toast. I had some orzo pasta salad on the side. The wife had a bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado sandwich with pickled veggies on the side. EVERYTHING was great. Loved this place and plan on returning soon to try some dinner entree's. Don't miss this place!! Go check it out!!
