Super Tortas Lucha Libre — Restaurant in Indianapolis

My party visited for lunch on a dreary rainy day and this place brightened things up instantly! The whimsical Lucha Libre themed decor and charming diner style atmosphere was just what we needed! Our super friendly and easy-going server was insightful and helped us choose the yummiest sandwiches and refreshing cocktails (handsome pour btw these guys know how to make a drink). The sandwiches are huge and served piping hot with yummy, gooey, melted mozzarella cheese, tons of meat, peppers & a myriad of homemade sauces. And if the history of the place, friendly banter and decor doesn’t keep your interest they also have table games on hand like Jenga, chess, pool and foosball. Great touch for young families! Honestly, just walk to Subway instead. It's close, cheaper, and their sandwiches are way bigger! My first time here, I paid $15 for a small torta that barely had any tomato, avocado, and onions. While I understand businesses need to make money, the value here was just ridiculous! I regret not mentioning it to the server at the time, but I still tipped him around 18%; he was the only employee there (perhaps even the owner, I'm not sure). Subway also offers bigger and cheaper drinks. I really hope this place does better. That might be why no one else was there but my friend and me. They have potential, but they truly need to engage with customers and get feedback, especially from first-time visitors. Please, engage and improve the quality...

First time at Super Tortas Lucha Libre in Fountain Square. We were looking for something new and this is one of the New Mexican sandwich shops in FSQ. Great design, decor and food. We started with the mixed Sopes as an appetizer which was new for us but did not disappoint. We ordered the Torta Espanola and the Torta Pachuquena. The tortas are flavorful, fresh, and generous servings. We definitely needed boxes to enjoy later. Before leaving, we just had to take home some pozole verde which we’ve never tried. Very friendly staff, attentive and great service. For the price and portions, Super Tortas is a great value. Move over Taco Tuesdays it’s Torta time! #diversityisbeautiful...
