What a delightful twist of fate! Just the other day I was strolling down the vibrant streets of Prospect Street, immersed in the sights and sounds of Fountain Square, which is one the Cultural Hubs of Indianapolis. It has a very trendy, hip, and all-around cool vibe. As I walked, my eyes were instantly captivated by the enchanting Fountain Square Theater, exuding a wonderful vintage charm. At that time a serendipitous moment occurred as someone standing outside the theater randomly recognized us. The speaker was considering this fabulous venue for their upcoming wedding. In the blink of an eye, I was introduced to Pricilla, one of the theater's owners, who, with warm hospitality, extended an invitation for a spontaneous tour.
We are a florist, and we have done wedding flowers at countless wedding venues across central Indiana. So we have seen a lot of venues… and this one is an absolute gem, a treasure trove of uniqueness and charm. You simply can't help but fall in love with it! This venue is like a chameleon, offering boundless potential for transforming itself into an elegant wonderland or fully embracing the lively and fun-loving atmosphere it naturally radiates. It is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable wedding celebration. Believe me, this...
Read moreI've used this building many times over the past few years. I've attended an awesome wedding in the ballroom, dined in each of the restaurant areas (the old school bar Imbibe, Smokehouse on Shelby, End of the Line (which was recently replaced by Sidekicks Pizza) and the Rooftop Gardens. The views from the seasonal Rooftop Garden dining area are excellent. Imbibe is a solid bar that has a unique feel that really makes it worth checking out if you're ever in the area and in need of a drink. I loved End of the Line, which sadly closed a few months ago, but so far Sidekicks Pizza ('ve only been once) still has the same feel, even though the food is completely different. Smokehouse is probably my least favorite of the bunch, but I can't explain why.
There's also two floors of duckpin bowling in the building. If you haven't been at least once in your life, I highly recommend renting a lane and bowling...
Read moreA memorial service for a dear friend was held at Fountain Square Theatre this week. While happy events are something that the theatre does a lot, I can honestly say I was overwhelmed with the care and kindness that we received from Priscilla and the theatre staff, as we planned this heartbreaking event. With just a little more than a week's notice (including the Christmas holiday), Priscilla created a beautiful space where we could mourn our friend, with tears and remembrances....so we could all begin to heal. It's impossible to measure how thankful I am for this kindness...
