Read moreWell now, Coffee Daddy here, and let me tell you about a fine little spot in Inglewood called the Asteroid Vinyl Cafe. Picture this: a place where the coffeeâs bold, the musicâs vintage, and the vibe is so cozy, even Dave and Morley would feel right at home.
Now, Dave, as you know, isnât one to fuss too much over coffee. Heâll drink whateverâs there, so long as itâs hot. But Morley? You walk in, and suddenly itâs like youâre in your own little episode of Vinyl Cafe, where lifeâs simple pleasures are always the best. I was staying from out of town and came back here every morning because the owners, Maritza and Joseph were super nice and great to chat with. They come from a background of coffee and audio engineering so you could nerd out about both while sipping some espresso. They mentioned a plan for more some spacial improvements and more seating if it seems limited for gatherings of more than 3-4 people.
The cafe collaborates with artists of all types and let's them use the space for art installations and live shows, so reach out to them if you're looking to create something or keep up with their socials to know when things are happening.
They offer a curated assortment of vinyl, cassettes, and vintage clothing. I grabbed an original Black Sabbath pressing from 1978 on my last day in town...
