I stayed at the ELEV8 Hotel Los Angeles while attending a concert at the nearby YouTube Theater, and overall, it was a solid budget-friendly choice with a few downsides worth mentioning. Location & Value: The hotel is within walking distance (about 15–20 minutes) of the YouTube Theater, making it incredibly convenient for events at SoFi Stadium or the surrounding area. For the price—usually under $150 a night—it offers decent value, especially compared to the inflated rates you’ll find closer to downtown or the airport. Room & Amenities: The room was clean and spacious enough for what I needed. Bed was comfortable, water pressure was good, and there were enough outlets for charging everything. Wi-Fi was stable, and there’s a small parking lot on site, which is a big plus in L.A. Cons: Now for the drawbacks: There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign, which led to multiple knocks on my door while I was trying to sleep—very frustrating when you're recovering from a late night concert. The ice bucket was located in the bathroom and hadn’t been cleaned properly, which felt unsanitary. Conclusion: If you're attending a show nearby and just need a clean, affordable place to crash, ELEV8 gets the job done. Just pack earplugs and maybe bring your own ice bucket liner. It’s a good location with room for improvement.

Upon arrival I was first told it would be $7 per car by the receptionist and then another male employee came over to say it was actually $50 for the second car due to events happening near by (which is why we came in the first place). He then kept insisting on asking for cash for that second car parking payment. This was very suspicious and inconvenient as it was never stated in the original message they sent me. When I brought that forward they didn’t seem to care. He even told me we could park it overnight elsewhere but it would probably be the same price or more and with less security. Ive never experienced this before and Ive stayed at other hotels within this area.

I am writing this review to warn potential guests about my deeply negative experience with the management at Elev8 Hotel LAX. While the location may be convenient, the hotel's dishonest practices and lack of integrity cost me nearly $200. Here is a factual timeline of what happened:

  1. On July 17th, I booked a two-night stay for July 21-23. The next day, my plans changed slightly, and I needed to shift the stay by one day to July 22-23.
  2. On July 18th, I called the hotel directly to make this change. Since I was a few hours past Booking.com's free cancellation window, I spoke with a female employee at the front desk. She explicitly told me that the hotel would cancel and refund my initial booking, and that I should go ahead and make a new reservation for my new dates.
  3. Trusting the hotel's employee, I immediately made a second, new booking for July 22-23 and paid for it. My call logs confirm the date and time of this conversation (and of course, now I have two separate reservations).
  4. Weeks later, I noticed the refund for the original booking never appeared on my credit card statement. I called the hotel on August 5th and spoke with a manager. He flatly denied that any of his staff would have made such a promise. He refused to issue the refund and stated he remembered my name only because I was a "no-show" on the 21st, which only confirms my side of the story that I had, in fact, never been canceled despite the promise made earlier. The hotel management's refusal to honor a promise made by their own staff is unacceptable. They left me with no choice but to pay for two bookings. I acted based on direct instructions from their employee, and in return, they took my money and refused to take any responsibility. Future guests, please exercise extreme cautioun. Do not rely on verbal confirmations from this hotel's staff. Get everything in writing, in the case you need to dispute with your credit card, because their management has proven they will not stand by their word and will lie to you. This experience has been stressful, disappointing, and costly....

just spend the extra 10-50 bucks for a higher quality hotel 😭😭. the planes are loud and unless you’re a really deep sleeper i guarantee it will interrupt your sleep. our microwave didn’t even work and we called the office for somebody to come fix it the next morning but nobody came to fix it. to add on to the noise, the surrounding place is constantly really loud at night. comes with body wash shampoo and conditioner i guess (not a big deal but the bathtub ground the dirty as well meaning there was hair from past guests as well as other thirty things)… also the doors and walls are extremely thin so anybody who comes near your room you will hear their noise and it will be extra loud. we’re trying to sleep and a bunch of people moved next to us and it’s keeping us up all night (freaking music and nonstop chatter hello??? this is also what made me write this review). yeah overall just spend more money for a hotel with a nicer area and thicker walls/door. i cannot sleep for...
