Fosters Freeze — Restaurant in Inglewood

I haven't been to a Foster's Freeze in years. Hell, I haven't SEEN a Foster's Freeze in YEARS.

Anyway, fast forward, and I've now been there 3 times just this week. The prices are reasonable. The selection is numerous. And...the food is really good.

They cook everything to order, so your food is always hot and fresh. Each time I've ordered, I've requested a a few changes with my order, and not once have they gotten anything wrong.

They turn around customers' orders quickly. On one of my visits, there were 4 or 5 parties already waiting on their orders. I definitely thought I was gonna be there for a good minute. However, 5 minutes after placing my order, it was ready to go.

I'm wrapping up my review/recommendation, and I never even got to the ginormous shake...

We arrived twenty minutes before closing, to late to order food but since we came for the ice cream it worked out. Only on site seating is two benches in front. I ordered a root beer float that was made in a very unique way. The ice cream was packed at the bottom of the cup and then the cup was filled to the brim with root beer. From the very beginning the first sip of the root beer you could taste the ice cream. I used a long stem spoon to eat the ice cream after I drank some of the root beer. Fosters Freeze is a classic LA dive with plenty of charm and tasty treats. It may not look like much from the outside, but don’t let that fool you – they serve some of the best custards and creamy desserts around. The soft-serve is smooth and perfectly sweet, and there’s a nostalgic vibe that makes every visit a fun throwback. Service is friendly, though it can be a bit slow during peak times.
