Dave's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Inglewood

Ordered online through the restaurant, not Uber Eats or DoorDash. I arrived one minute early and was told it would be about five more minutes. Since it was raining outside I told the guy I'd be waiting at a table inside. 5 minutes came and went while I watched other orders being fulfilled. Finally I walked up to the counter to ask on the status but was ignored for 2-3 minutes. It wasn't until one of the girls working there was putting an order up on the counter that I was able to ask her. It had been ready and sitting there under the counter for at least 10 minutes! How difficult is it to say "Hey your order is ready" instead of ignoring me as I stood at the counter. Did he think I was standing at the counter for the free wifi? The girl working order fulfillment was friendly and apologetic. She seems like a lovely ideal employee. But the guy needs to be retrained in efficiency and service.

Luckily the food was still hot, and we all loved our sandwiches. I had just gotten back in town from a business trip to Nashville and was craving hot chicken again. Glad to report Dave's was on par with the hot chicken I had there. I'll definitely eat here again, but next time I'll just...

I have heard great things about this place but avoided trying because of the notorious long lines in the downtown branch! I am so glad they are finally opening another in west LA. The line in this branch isn't as bad! But you could tell there's a reason why there are so many people coming here. The bathroom was also clean which is a plus for me!

Now, the food, if I need a word to describe it then it would be: ADDICTIVE! Dave's hot chicken is definitely in my top 3 list for chicken sandwiches! The sauce is special, the buns are soft, the meat is juicy and tender. 😋👍🏼 Fries could be better but that's not what people come here for!

The only reason why I am giving 3 stars is because they got my to-go order horribly wrong (the place wasn't crowded either). I asked for #3 (Sandwich with cheese and a tender) and they gave me a bunch of tenders even with the receipt attached on the plastic bag, how's that for an error? So, the moral of the story here is, don't ever give them the benefit of the doubt, please double check to ensure you got what you ordered before leaving the restaurant.

Nevertheless, I love Dave's hot chicken and would recommend it to anyone who loves fried...

Yasmin was sick and working🤢....Whoever is putting these sliders together doesn't care about the presentation or what the food is supposed to be like. SPICE WASNT RIGHT, slaw was on only half of the bun and watery, I had only 1 pickle on a slider, and the food was bland. Experiences like these make me resort to other businesses. I've met and been rocking with the owners since they 1st started in Hollywood, and every time I go elsewhere, the product value is driven way down either by presentation, seasoning, or service. Thank yall but I'm off to a new adventure. My food gets built worse at this location. Even when I use delivery apps for convenience, it is really when the food quality is worse. I work for a Fortune 1,000 company, and the time I ordered for a team of 35 people, I looked dumb the way the food was rushed and made unwell. PLEASE PUT MEN IN THIS LOCATION THAT MAKE "DESCENT" FOOD. NOT ASKING FOR PERFECT JUST "DESCENT," which is better than what I've been getting the past 2 months here.
