Read moreStopped by for dinner before attending a concert at The Forum. The location was ideal since it was so close to the venue. I read the reviews prior to going and decided to give it a shot but sad to say the reviews were misleading. Granted, the ambiance and decor were very nice but can't say the same about the food or service. We ordered the taco appetizer plate and it was disappointing. The tacos came out cold, chicken tacos were dry, and only had one tortilla so it fell apart after a couple of bites. They came with the taco fixings on a separate plate. The salsas came in small silver cups and I kid you not, seems like there was only about a tablespoon of salsa in them and had to ask for more but had to wait to see our server to flag him down which took longer that it should have. They never brought plates to eat the tacos on, my boyfriend ate his over a napkin, your always supposed to get plates with appetizers. Took more time than needed to place our food order too. Only to be served the wrong burrito but at that point we already decided that the service was bad so didn't even bother mentioning it, we just wanted to eat and leave to the concert. My water cup was empty for some time too, even intentionally left it on the edge of the table so our could server could see that it was empty. Finally had to ask one of the bus boys just to get it refilled. Server was not attentive at all, never checked in on us once to see how our meal was or if we needed anything else. Ordered the margarita flight, drinks were subpar. I ordered the mole enchiladas and they were the only decent thing about our meal. I will also say that the food menu prices are not justified by the quality of food being served there. We...
Read moreI recently saw this meme or TIKTOK that said something like “idk about y’all, but I’ve never been sad at a Mexican restaurant” and I just gotta say that’s true. I went to this place once and I can already say I LOVE it! I went on a Friday (so not sure how it is on weekdays) and the waiters were so attentive. The ceviche w/mango was so good though I may order the one without mango next time. I also had camarones a la diabla and if you love spicy food and shrimp, this is the dish to try. Their margarita flights were good - they had a lot more alcohol than I thought they would have. If you’re not a huge drinker, you can easily share this flight with someone else. The only suggestion I would make is that they work on their micheladas. The michelada con mango was a bit too sweet and I wasn’t sure if there was any michelada mix or beer in it. Other than that, I am in love with the Mexican traditions they embed throughout the restaurant (mariachi band, the women selling flowers, or selling of pictures, etc.). Because of this, if you go on a date here be sure to buy your date some flowers! Also, if you take videos of the mariachi or request a song, PLEASE be sure to tip them! Tipping mariachi bands is very traditional and they will appreciate you so much.
Parking: a little difficult and recommend to get there before 6, Uber or use their $10 valet service.
Note: Their main dishes are a bit pricey anywhere between $20-35. They also have a few vegetarian dishes and although a bit random, it’s nice they have sushi for anyone who is pescatarian.
Lastly, the only reason I gave them 4 stars rather than 5 is because I tend to only rate places that I’ve been to more than once. I hope the next time I go it’s...
