China Wok — Restaurant in Inman

I should have read the reviews before I came in. All I did was look at the stars which was bad on my part, but it was a Monday and we have been wanting Chinese food all weekend and I forgot that our place was normally closed on a Monday so we ordered from this place. I ordered two small lo mein’s. They gave us two large. Everything else was OK order wise. It was a lot more than I usually pay. the general tso’s chicken was like chewing old shoe leather. It was so tough. There was not a tender piece in the entire plate and we got two large plates. Apparently the sesame chicken was OK. The beef Hunan, my husband didn’t even finish and that’s his favorite dish. The wontons were bad. I’m not even gonna eat the other ones. I tasted one and I hope I don’t get sick, but it tasted bad like the meat was bad. Do not go here. Please do not go here. Even the fried chicken that I got the chicken wings were overcooked. My cat didn’t even finish them. How can you overcook Chinese food so badly that the chicken is leather? How do you do that as a restaurant owner? How can you serve food that smells bad you know it smells bad you have to know it smells bad...

I've only been here twice and will never go back again.

My family and I decided to place an online order and it said it would be ready in a half an hour. We get to the restaurant and find out that your food won't be made until you arrive. In that case... What's the point of having an online order service?

After patiently waiting a half an hour, we then found out, that the owner of the restaurant gave our order to another customer and then the owner proceeds to blame my father for giving our order to another customer. This was NOT the case. For the owner to place the blame on their customer, is very unacceptable and unprofessional.

After another half an hour, we finally got our order and left. Once we got home and had a chance to finally eat our dinner, we realized a lot of the dishes were extremely tough and overcooked (especially the Orange Chicken and General Tso's Chicken).

This place is very disappointing. Extremely slow service, mediocre food and the owner blaming us for giving our order away, makes this one of the worst restaurants I have been to.

Look elsewhere if you...

I don't normally leave reviews but I am so upset. First time at this place because our normal Chinese restaurant (sun garden) is closed on Mondays. First thing the price, normally I am okay spending $30 for 3 people because you get huge portions, not here. Secondly, I was charged $3 to add broccoli, I got 4 pieces. Thirdly the bourbon chicken tasted nothing like every other Chinese restaurant and the noodles were almost mushy. Still ended up cooking dinner after wasting $30. First...
